when you miss somebody so much it hurts? A friend of mine recently had to move over 2500 miles away. I miss him so much! :sad1:I need suggestions on how to make this easier. What do you do?

I moved across the country from my best friend who'd lived across the street from me forever. It's been tough I'm not gonna lie. It sucks, most of the time. We were like sisters.

Anyway we skype, which helps because we can see and hear each other.
We talk on the phone and e-mail.

i usually just keep in touch with the old friend for a couple months, and either plan to see them again or leave them be so they can get new friends. Mostly, if they're unable to visit, keep them as a casual online friend.

use skype, facebook, email, texting and phone calls. when i was 13 my best friend i knew since i was a baby, we lived next door to each other moved away to new york. but back then facebook and skype weren't around and i didn't have a phone. we lost touch with each other, we only recently got back in touch because she found me on facebook.

I've had a friend who moved out of the US into Germany. It was really hard to cope with it but you'll get through it. Email as much as you can! I would like to get Skype but my parents won't let me. And if you have a facebook, try to connect on there. When we connected on there, we were in chat forever. Also, try to plan trips to go visit them. I'm sure if you have enough money to go to Disney you can travel across the country and stay at a friend's house free of charge (for the friend's house, I mean).

Aw, I'm really sorry about your friend! Luckily I've never had a friend move away, but as others said, you could always talk to them online using MSN, AIM, facebook, etc. You can also get a webcam for when your chatting. Another cool thing would be to send each other postcards every month. Also perhaps you could start saving up enough money to come and visit your friend in a couple years or so?

Thanks guys. These are all good suggestions. We have talked some through Facebook but it's kind of hard because of the time difference (he's now out of the U.S) and we're both really busy with school. But we're managing to stay in contact. Also I recently found out he'll be here for a week in December visiting his dad (he lives with his mom.) So i'll get to see him then :)
