It's a given that everyone that visits these boards has an affection for Disney, but what is it that you do when you're not on the boards or at Disneyland? What do you do for a living, what are your hobbies, interests, etc?

I'll start...

I'm a Vice President for an Apartment Management/Development/Construction company. I oversee all information technology, building systems, and the apartment maintenance department.

For hobbies (aside from DL), I love camping/boating with my family, I'm an avid sports fan (both playing and watching), and I design/run several websites as a hobby.

I have a bunch more hobbies/interests but I'll leave it at that for now, so what is it that you do?

ok, um my name is sara. and i am a disney addict i ben clean and disney sober for a week..

no seriously umm my name is sara.

i work for a finance company. i run the auto insurance department. in my free time i go to disneyland. i love DCA, my favorite thing to eat is cheese. i also love a good romantic candlelight dinner and orange sunsets... :cutie:

i collect pins from the parks, and i already have one lanyard full. i have the most amazing person in my life and we have a trip planned this month!!(so excited!), i am the last of 8 kids. i am scared of heights, but love rollar coasters, i love to shop sephora-its an addiction that i can't get rid of. my favorite place to eat at DTD is Naples. i aslo volunteer on saturdays and sundays at the local animal shelter playing with the kitties! i am the most understanding person in the world. Oh and i am the park map girl on the dis! people think i don't understand what they have been through, but i have been through some tough stuff in my life it would make yoiur head spin--hence why i am the most understanding person in the world! I can be a goofball, carefree but i am also VERY ocd when planning trips to disneyland. I have never been to WDW.i also in my spare time do a little photography, some of my photos are featured in the disneyland photo of the day thread(#3). I am not married and do not have kids, but i am currently seeing someone.i also love goats, cows and chickens.

:rotfl:

When not planning a trip to WDW (LOL) I work part time in customer service. The job is great b/c it is flexible and I get off each day in time to pick DD7 up from school! :goodvibes

Aside from my Disney fetish, I love scrap booking, photography, event planning and cake decorating, too.

I spend my free time chasing after my toddler or sleeping because the baby wants me to!:rotfl: In my spare time I love to read, cook and watch musicals. When I am not pregnant I like to dance and actually participate in musicals.

I'm the three year olds teacher at a private pre-k through 12 school.

I love Big Fish games, reading (love my Kindle), parrots, cross stitch, and scrapbooking. Although I haven't had time for the last two recently.

I'm at stay at home mom, but planning to find part time office work in the spring, once both DL trips are over. I have many years experience in office work, but quit my job once I gave birth to my 2 sons. Now that they are in school full time next week in grades 1 and 2, can go back to work part time. I enjoy scrapbooking, cross stitch, photography (addicted to it!), baking, pen friend writing, and old cars, especially my 69 Buick Skylark 4 dr sedan (a rare vehicle), which has been sorely neglected the past couple of years, but will get going on it again next year. Also like riding in our 52 Chevy firetruck and taking it to shows. And lastly planning my 2 trips to the mouse, my solo trip in Oct, and the surprise family trip in Feb/11. Have a great day everyone!

How funny! This same thread came up yesterday on another BBS I'm on. So, cut and paste...

I'm a computer geek. Degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. I've had a varied career, ranging from Bell Labs (named on patent for the voice answerback system that says "Please deposit one dollar and thirty five cents for the first three minutes"), to being in on the ground floor of the microcomputer industry, designing first hardware, then software.

For the past 20 years, I've been a software geek for a non-profit oceanographic research institution (MBARI). Yep, I write software to control robot submarines, collect data from instruments at sea and telemeter it back via radio or satellite, and control experiments attached to underwater cables 3000 ft under the sea. It's so much more rewarding and interesting than writing another operating system or building another desktop application. And they pay me to do it!

I work in the meat dept. at Albertsons. I'm a shop steward for the union and have been married 20 years, have 2 kids in college, and 18 cats. Used to do a lot of volunteering for various cat related rescues--but now have my hands full at home. I read when I have time but the internet has kind of taken over book reading for the most part with me lately. I am the cheapest most frugal person you will find around here anyway...I even dumpster dive on occasion. I like wine. Food--t.v.--basic stuff lol. In fact I'm gonna go watch the view now. I'll probably watch it on the treadmill as soon as my coffe is down...

ok, um my name is sara. and i am a disney addict i ben clean and disney sober for a week..

:lmao:

Does this mean you haven't been in DL for a week?

How often do you go?

Well I'm currently unemployed, I lost my job of 8 years in June. :( But I am looking and in the meantime I'm just enjoying being at home with the girls. It's nice to know how they are getting home from school every day. :) I have 17 years of customer service experience the last 8 I worked in the music industry and loved it. Unfortunately they "got rid" of my position so I went too. :)

I work at a grade school as a para-educator (I work in the office). I've been married for 24 years and have a son who is 16.

I enjoy reading, walking, kickboxing and the ocean. I love spending time with my family and, of course, visiting the parks. I grew up around Southern California and went to the parks in the old days when you used ticket books and only got to ride a couple of rides all day (due to the lines).

My name is Ashley and I am going to school to become a dental assistant. I only have about 3 more months to go. When I have to work (at an office), I go in from 9am to 4:45, and leave there and go to school until 11pm. The 14 hour days are killing me but I just try to think of my paychecks as more fun things to do, since I don't need my job for DBF and I to live off of. In my spare time I love hanging out with my hubby, Matt. We've been dating for 4 1/2 years and live together in an apartment. I love riding my dirt bike, scrapbooking, swimming, and drawing.

ok, um my name is sara.

:rotfl:

Me too - except down here my name is pronounced as 'Sah-rah'; it's said as 'Ser-rah' if it's spelled as Sarah, with the 'h'.

When I'm not dreaming about when I can get to Disneyland (and visit my BFF who lives in OC), I work 4 days a week as an inbound travel consultant.

I have a 4 year old son so can't say I have much spare time  but do manage to get in some reading, cooking and the gym.

This is such a great thread!!
Okay. My name is Tracyray.I am a tattoo artist and my fiance and I also own a small costume company. We have 2 dogs both rescues. I love to draw , paint and sew and of course tattoo. And!!! After 2 years in a row of having to cancel our wedding, this Halloween at the Disneyland Hotel, we are FINALLY having our Disney fairytale Wedding!!! My Fiance and I are both huge Disney fans, he even asked me to marry him at the castle. :)

Hey there! I am Jen- I am a licensed childcare provider and run an in home facility. I actually live pretty close to 50's Jayne (Corvallis)and could give her a run for her money on being the most frugal here, lol! I also am the Cubmaster for my 9yr old son's CubScout Pack. In addition to having a housefull of kids to tend to each day, what little spare time I have left is spent caring for the critters we have on our small hobby farm and showing my Clydesdale. Our farm family currently consists of 2 horses, 1 calf, 1 llama, a small flock of chickens, and a passle of cats :) Our family is also involved in retailing christmas trees, and we run several retail lots in Sacramento each year. I am gearing up for my 2nd trip to the land after being let out of the disney addict closet last year- can't stop thinking about it ! I just want to get back there and absorb the magic that is there!
