When I was in the army ironing was something that you had to be good at - or spend a lot of time doing extra duties as punishment for sloppy creases

It's something I have never had an issue doing, and I can do all the clothes for the family for that day in the time it takes Elaine to have her shower.

My dad is the same. Army did it to him too. Major advantage having him in the house, but he was SOOOOO particular about our appearance I am sure he would have done a touch up iron with the clothes on us if he could. I recall being horrified as a teenager when I got out the shower to go out and discovered that he had removed my jeans from my bed and ironed them .... with creases down the front I also discovered my expensive "ripped" jeans in the trash. He thought the dog had got hold of them. He couldn't seem to understand that it cost me extra money to buy them with holes and rips in them.

My Dad normally goes for a walk around in the morning, particularly since we've been staying onsite - he'll go to the main bldg and fill our mugs up. Sometimes if I'm wanting to go to an EMH morning I'll go alone and then my parents will meet be a bit later on.

I absolutely love the Florida mornings - rarely in the UK can we be out in a t-shirt/ shorts at 7-8am!!

I go running while they take way way too long to surface, I just get all narky if I have to harang them to hurry up.

I usually browse on the internet until it is time to start nagging DD to get a move on.

We also love watching the weather channel in the mornings!!

I tend to get up and showered whilst DH makes me a cup of tea and breakfast (bless him ). We both eat our breakfast then he gets showered, shaved etc whilst i make sure we have everything we need for the day.

Normally we are out of the door within 30 minutes of getting up. However this year we wll have our 5 month old baby.....things may have to change
