What do you do when you have left over food when staying at DVC? If you have frozen food, milk half finished? Just wondering if it should all be thrown out or left for cleaning to make the decision. Would they take unopened frozen food, refrigerated food home? :confused3

We drive. If we have food left over, we take it with us. Once we offered it to our neighbor as we were leaving. They loved having an almost full gallon of milk.

Anything unopened, I leave for HK. Everything else gets tossed. :sunny:

Do you think Mouse Keeping keeps the unopened items, or do you they dump them as well? I would hope they keep them. I wish there was someplace to drop off extra food for charity. I guess I get overly optimistic about how much food we will eat in our room. I think the vacation feeling; a relaxed Disney feeling, makes me buy more when food shopping at a Fl. supermarket at the start of my vacation. I always end up with more food than I could use.

If it's unopened and we see another guest around, we offer it to them.

Otherwise we leave it for housekeeping.

This is what we did as well. Seemed a waste not to offer it.

We have given beverages(OK-beer) to the bell staff. He said that mousekeeping couldn't take stuff left behind but if someone gives it to them they can take it.

We take a small collapsable cooler with us and take beverages, etc. with us. If there is bread left over, we will "picnic" at the airport and make pb&j sandwiches, etc before boarding the plane.

Did this today before we flew home. Glad we did as we were delayed taking off due to weather at ORD. DH appreciated the left over beer too. :rotfl2:
