I was wondering what everyone does while at WS? What do your kiddos do at WS? My daughter will be 4 1/2 when we go so I want her to enjoy herself and I would like to enjoy myself as well :)

I am so excited, last year I did not get to see much of WS b/c DD was sick so we just kind of walked through the countries and I ate at Mexico one night.

Are there any must dos?
Must eats?
Must sees?

Thanks!

You should do one or both of the following. Go to the kidcot stations and get a mask. They will put a cutout representing the country you are in on the mask. There are markers (they are sharpies) there for your DD to decorate her mask. The mask is free to do. The other thing is a passport. They cost about $10 or you can make one at home. They have some great designs on the DISign board! Take the passport to the kidcot stations and they will stamp the passport and write a message in their native language in it. Both are fun to do and make the kids more apt to want to go to the World Showcase. I like to wander around the shops and this helped DS to get through them.

One must do for us: the pick a pearl in Japan. The cost is around $15 to pick an oyster. There is a pearl in the oyster. There is a little ceremony to go along with it. You can just pick the oyster and get your pearl or you can also have it set into a piece of jewelery. I got mine set but it can be expensive. The prices start at $10 and go up from there. Here is a pic of one of my pearls. It cost $10 plus the pearl. It is a charm. http://s38.photobucket.com/albums/e...earl pearls/?action=view&current=P7180041.jpg

oo thank you, sounds like fun, I will have to have her do the kidcot thing, we wanted to do it last year with her but like I said she got sick and was only satisfied with The Seas Clam mobiles....(yes I rode it about 10xs to keep her content haha). So hopefully this year we will be able to enjoy WS more.

The pearl is pretty :)

I just wanted to say have a great time, have fun and enjoy in your upcoming trip. Looking forward in hearing more from you after you came back.

Have a nice day everyone. :)

The masks/ passports are definitely a good way to keep kids moving through WS. Also, check your times guide for character listings. WS characters are often the least crowded character lines in all of Disney. My kids have had private audiences w/ Aladdin in Morocco, Mushu in China and Alice in England. DD6 also really enjoyed the Chinese acrobats and the boat ride in Mexico.

Yes I'll second the kidcot stations and the boat ride in Mexico and add Maelstom the boat ride in Norway. My DD was 4 the first time we were there and loved all of these. Also as PP said the character interactions in WS are great. Have fun and GL.
