What do you do with your Green Mickey Heads?

Just picked up my Alien Green Mickey heads from Home Depot. I'm looking to do something eye catchy but not uncomfortable to wear...anyone do anything amazing with theirs? Pictures would be fantastic. I've yet to visit a craft store to see what options I have, but my DF is so excited to help with the creation...and he's not even a Disboards member!!!

I got my reservation confirmation in the mail yesterday so I'm starting to make my final plans...We usually book only a couple days before, so this planning thing is all new to me!!

Thanks everyone!!

I bought self-laminating luggage/ID tags at Walmart (in the office/school supplies area) and peeled the green Mickey head off the paper backing. Then, I made a small label with my name and resort destination. I put the label on the Mickey head and put the Mickey head inside the luggage tag and stuck it together. I then attached them to my luggage.

I am a huge disboard fan and would love to do this too! I am off to home depot!

I didn't even think of luggage tags!! Excellent idea!

Anyone else have suggestions for something I can wear around the park? I was thinking something on a lanyard, but I'd like it to be creative. Granted, I haven't stepped foot in a craft store to get ideas, but that is how I am planning to spend my weekend....I will meet some Disers at the parks!! :lmao:

This might be a stupid question but I have to ask anyway...
What does the green mickey head mean???? I hope something good this way i can run out and get one!! :)

Jrabbit,
Home Depot carries a full line of Disney paints. The paint samples are in the shape of Mickey's head. They have an acid green color called Alien Green. Of course when I came home with one, my DS wanted his room painted that color.
Hope this helps,
Susan

I cut out the green Mickey heads with the backing attached, pasted my cell phone number on the back and laminated the whole thing. I then punched a hole in one of the ears and attached it to our luggage, fanny packs, beach bags, etc. That way if anything got lost, hopefully it would find its way back to us, including my DS7. If you do luggage tags, use the thickest laminating film that you can get. It will hold up better!

thanks nasus, does it mean that your part of Dis chats??

Several years ago Lime green became the official color of the DIS. :thumbsup2 It started with DISers wearing lime green ribbons (along the line of pink ribbons for breast cancer, yellow for the troops etc.) while visiting WDW as a way to identify fellow DISers while at the parks. When DISers discovered the lime green Mickey head paint samples at Home Depot they've taken off as DIS ID as well as anything lime green! :bounce:

I wear my Pal Mickey on a clip hanging from my waist, so I'll make a little lanyard type thing and put the Mickey head on the Pal Mickey. That way I don't feel like I'm wearing a name tag or anything, the Pal Mickey is, heh. I've also seen people put the Mickeys on all different parts of strollers, usually with the word "DIS" or something similar written on it.

Baloo- I tried to do the quote thinghy in the box, no can't do

Are there any dismembers still wear the lime green ribbon? Have you ever spotted anyone? I did a few times after joining this board. I never spotted anyone. I still think it's a nice idea.

I love the idea of My Pal Mickey wearing it instead of myself...I didn't want something that looked like a nametag but I wanted to wear it to see if any Disers are there when I am. I'll have to grab some green ribbon as well. Thanks everyone for their wonderful ideas!

Anyone else?

These are all great ideas. I'll have to give them a try.

Thanks
