What do you do with your camera on rides?

I'm heading to the world with my xti for the first time, and am wondering what you do with your camera and camera bag on the rides? Are you allowed to have it out on most of the rides? At sesame place, on several rides, the operator was telling me to put my camera away, and on the little rollercoaster, would not let me have it at all, and made me leave it with her. I'm guessing from all the photos here, there are not rules like that at disney, but am curious about rides like tower of terror, and rock and rollercoaster. I wouldn't want it out, but is there somewhere to store the camera bag? What do you do? Thanks.

This was one of my concerns prior to our last trip, as well. I either held my camera in my hands, or held my bag on my lap (if I didn't have the camera out). Some rides have netting in the seat in front of you that you could stuff your camera bag into, if you wanted to. I mostly kept it attached to me at all times, though! I don't think you are allowed to have your camera out for Rock'n'Roller Coaster, specifically.

I held my camera- D50- in my hands with strap around my neck on all the rides(covered it on Kali and Splash). I also carried a backpack- there is room at your feet on all the rides to put a bag. I put my legs thru the straps on my backpack to hold it still.

I either hold it on my lap or put the case down by my feet if there is room. My brother used his cmaera on Rock n' Roller coaster. He held it in front of himself and got a couple of pictures of himself and my son on the ride!

Thanks so much. It's good to know there is room on every ride for the bag and you are allowed to have it out on all of the rides too.

On my last trips to WDW and DL, I usually was busy taking photos during the rides, so there was no worry about where to put it!

To be fair, RnRollercoaster was closed last WDW trip so I'm not sure about that. But I did do California Screaming in DL, which includes a loop, with my camera - but I actually don't remember what I did with it. I know I had it with me but I didn't take any photos, which seems rather strange. Hmm... the ol' memory's not what it used to be.

Generally, though, it's not a problem.
