What do you do with old MBs?

Do you keep them for your next trip? Pretty bracelets? Cannon fodder?

Their internal (non-replaceable) batteries are good for 2 years +.

They will remain connected to your MDE files (unless you purposely "deactivate" them.)

You can use them again at WDW.

You can sell them on eBay (as they are useful with a particular Disney video game.)

You can lose them in the junk drawer and not find them again until 2035.

Thanks! That's helpful

Odd thing is e every time we make a ressie and due to being AP holders we are up to four MBs for each of us. I called and asked about it and was to.d just keep collecting them. Seems like a waste of money and overhead. Definitely lots of bugs still exist.

Was told we should keep our AP ones as our lifetime ones due to extras that come with them. No clue what they will be or are.

Christmas tree decorations!
:lmao:Now that's a good idea!

Between DH and I we have one of every color now. We're also getting another set this weekend and again in May. This is in addition to our AP bands. Oy.

I've deactivated all but our APs on MDE because it stresses me out to see them all.

Do they *actually* sell on eBay?

EDIT: just checked eBay - surprising number of bids on a few... wow!

I've only got one old set (new ones coming for our upcoming trip) and I assumed I could re-use my old ones, but seems like I'm getting new ones like it or not. If they can both link to my account at the same time, I may just bring both and match my outfit. :cool1:

To me, it's a waste of money to have people out there with so many bands. Not to mention, what happens to these things when they are just tossed in the garbage (I'm thinking mostly the batteries)... not exactly environmentally friendly.

Thanks to some major glitches with my last trip and my party being so large, I have about 48 bands so I'm just gonna string them together to use as Christmas garland on my tree.

RE: Ebay. The Magic bands hold game features for Disney Infinity. That's why most people want them.
Or to practice decorating them.

Add me to the list of people who plan to decorate the Christmas tree. I have a tree dedicated to the hotel towel animals and I plan on stringing the magic bands like garland.

Recycle them!!! I asked about that once and the CM said that they definitely send them to be melted down and recycled. Or keep them them for your next trip - when you are making your next trip tell Disney that you already have bands and want to link them up to your new tix.

I paint mine...only have two at the moment but I'm looking to acquire a third or more in the future for some new designs, even if they don't work at the parks...

On that note, anyone wanna send me some? :lmao:
