what do you do while waiting for DCL transport

Good morning everyone!! I was just reading the thread about going to AK the morning of your cruise on the land/sea pkg. That got me to thinking what DO we do the morning of the cruise? We will be at the BC, I just figured we would have a relaxing morning,maybe swim. What does everyone do?

When we used to take Disney Transport, we'd do a fun breakfast the morning of the cruise, enjoy the resort, etc.

But now we like to get there earlier so we rent a car and drive ourselves to Port.

We were at AKL so we enjoyed it. Took one last look at our favorite places and explored the nooks and crannies we had not had time too. We were very sad to leave as we will most likely not being staying there again due to the big $$$.

Relax and enjoy that part of your trip as we were SO busy on ship we are glad we took a breather.

We slept in late! Probably the only morning of our honeymoon that we slept past 8am. Then we had light snack (wanted to wait for the buffet) and did a little shopping in the resort. We had to be at the bus for noon.

What time do the bus resorts take you to the port? We will be at the Polynesian the night before our cruise and I was wondering how much time we would have on sunday before we had to leave....???

We were at the AKL and spent a leisurely morning walking around the resort and taking pictures. It was a nice way to relax and the only real opportunity that we had to take in the resort all week.

JESW....Last June the DCL rep told us to be in the lobby by 11:00 and that the bus would leave 12:00-12:30. We were there at 11:00 and enjoyed hanging out/ relaxing in the lobby.FYI... The busses arrived and they filled them on a first come first serve basis. Since we were one of the first ones to check-in with the DCL rep that morning then were put on the first bus. Then they started to load the second bus. Our bus left first and went non-stop to the port. I don't know how much longer the second bus left after we did. I assume that they had to wait for late comers etc. I would have been disappointed if I had been on that bus.

We were staying at the Grand Floridian so we had a character breakfast here at 9 am then jumped on the monorail to do space mtn one more time and just soak up MK. We made it back to the resort for 11:15 when we had to catch our bus.

One note - we were told on the boards that we had to send our luggage out the night before when staying at the resorts to be transferred to the ship when we just needed to leave them in our room and have them ready by 8am the same morning. We didn't leave our room until almost 9am and they were not there yet. I had a little bit of anxiety hoping that our luggage would show up on the ship and it did (all 8 bags).

We enjoyed the last morning even though it was pouring rain.

We stayed at Grand FL and stopped to pick up some people from Poly on our way to the port. We boarded at Grand Fl at 11:15 am. I think the bus that was destined for Poly was full so we had room for more, otherwise we may not have stopped. Either way it is probably about the same time.
