I haven't tried this yet, but I recently got a photo printer with 1.5gb of internal memory. It's light weight and small, so I am thinking of bringing it with me on my next trip, this way I can either print out photos there or save them to my printer atleast for easy printing later, and then I can just delete the photos off my camera. Photo printers are moderately pricey for a good one, but well worth it. I have an HP Photosmart 475. I love it, it prints out amazingly great quality photos. It cost around $199, I believe, which actually isn't that bad.
If you don't want to do that, try buying a memory card with as much memory as possible, maybe even two if you need it. When taking up close shots, for example, at a character meal or something, I would take the photos on a lower resolution to save more room later on for photos which require using the highest resolution.
