What do you do when you need 6 extra points?

I have a reservation in July, but want to move it to August and include a weekend I didn't originally plan on and I'm out of points (including borrowing from next year). I feel like there is a way to get a few spare points, but I can't remember how.

At 7 months or less purchase one time use points for, I think $19 per point from DVC.

When you are ready to make that reservation at seven months out, call MS and tell them you need to buy OTUP after you have told them what you want to reserve. They will transfer you over to the group who will take your credit card to pay for the points and then transfer you back to MS to complete the reservation.

Thank you for expanding on how the process works. I know about it but have never done it.
