What do you do when you FIRST get to your hotel?

Well we check out the room and beds, unpack, go to target and pick up water and snacks, grab a bite to eat, then head to down town Disneysoak up the attmosphere and absorb the feeling of DL. Then back to the hotel relax in the pool then early to bed for the exciting day of magic ahead

We set a time limit, if we can get at least 5 hours in the park after we arrive, then we go to DL, even if it is a blockout day! We figured that whatever we did instead always ended up costing more than $30 for the blockout ticket and there is nothing worse than being right there and not going it!!! If you figure out per hour costs, $5 or $6 per hour is so worth being in DL! So many times in the past, we just played around and ended up spending a lot of money shopping or on games at espn and when we added it up, we were shocked to see how much we spent and could have easily paid for an extra day in the park.

If it is less than 4 or 5 hours, we do the pool, dinner, walk around dtd, and try to get a good nights sleep for early entry!

I always check out our hotel room too for bedbugs before we bring the luggage in! It would kill me to bring those critters home. We usually stay at DLH and even there, I still check because you just never know. Then I check the lights to make sure there are no burnt out bulbs because this happens to us a lot and it is way worse finding out at dark-lol. Then I call housekeeping for the coffee machine and free rollaway and fresh spreads and extra blankets. I have a whole routine and yes, I wipe the remote and phone with clorox wipes and anything else that looks yucky. I don't bother unpacking anything except what goes in the fridge if we are headed out to do something fun. I just unpack when the kids are in the tub and getting ready for bed and OMG, I just realized how obsessive I am-lol-I set out their clothes for the next day just so we can get ready faster in the morning!

Considering leaving my house to arriving at the hotel is around a 21 hour time frame (which includes a 12 hour transatlantic flight) plus the fact that my body clock is 9 hours ahead of CA time!! Our plan when ever we go to the USA is to find food (usually room service but on our next trip head to the concierge lounge) then unpack, walk around the hotel - I need to stretch my legs after all that sitting down! and then head for bed! I know that as our body clocks are way out we will be wide awake very early and bright and breezy to use EE!!
