What do you do to RELAX in Orlando?

With the theme parks, shopping and attractions, what do you do to take it easy and relax? Not worrying about getting to the park early, or carrying a lot of shopping, but actually taking some time out?

I'm thinking about adding an overnight stay at Clearwater next time, but what do others do?

Floating around in the villa pool for a couple of hours is enough for me, then back to the parks.:lmao:

we take a drive down to Daytona for the day. might try Clearwater this year and some days just chill by the pool and go for a nice meal at night or a walk round Boardwalk, nice for an evening stroll

I get my ipod and my book and head to the Saratoga Springs quiet pool. DH is a gem and keeps me supplied with cold white wine (and himself with beer of course). In the afternoon / early evening we like to stroll over to Downtown for something to eat and a visit to the Margarita Bar. Finish off the day with a turn in the jacuzzi and a sit on the balcony watching the world go by .... I've made myself depressed now !!

I like to go to the Grand Floridian for a massage then have Afternoon Tea:)

Stay at the villa, have a nice long soak in the hot tub, maybe a swim, then laze on a lounger with a good book and enjoy the views - bliss!

We head over to Vero Beach for a few days and we also take days where we stay by the pool and do some shopping :)

Last time we went we spent hours and hours beside the quiet pool at BCV and at GF...heaven:)

We play around in the pool for an hour or so and then I sunbathe and read and Alex carries on swimming. :)

We just spend a day by the pool then maybe a stroll round Celebration in the evening or Downtown Disney.
Once did twin centre 2 weeks Disney and 1 week Clearwater, hated Clearwater, just wished we had stayed in orlando for the full 3 weeks. We dont like beaches and had a lot of rain, nothing for us to do and got bored.
Plenty like it though

We lounge about the pool in our villa and last trip I booked a massarge - lovely - with all the planning and worrying about ADR's I needed one

We have some american friends who live in Orlando we usually meet up with them and go out on their boat for the day. Its great to see the manatees and dolphins swimming about in the wild.

There's plenty of time to relax on the plane home. We usually have a trip to Cocoa beach or Kennedy space centre.

I like to chill in the pool/jacuzzi at the villa. We've also spent many a happy hour playing pool at the villa, but this only works when you're with friends.

Dh likes to play golf and I love to join him and take charge of the buggy. The courses and wildlife are wonderful and refreshments are delivered to you!

Funnily enough, my favourite times at the parks have been when we've just been chilling out and taking time to smell the roses. It doesn't come easy to me - I'm a planner and a do-er - but experience tells me it's worth it to go with the flow and not rush from attraction to attraction.

Taking a water-taxi to Wilderness Lodge or Fort Wilderness from the MK midday is very relaxing. Ditto from Downtown Disney to Port Orleans.

Staying onsite has allowed us to enjoy IllumiNations and then wander back through an empty Epcot at our leisure. The fuel dump is the bomb! :rotfl:

We like to visit bars during the middle of the day when everyone else is at the parks. ESPN and Crew's Cup Lounge are favourites.

Margaritaville! I didn't get it until a couple of years ago, but now it's one of my favourite places.

I could go on and on, but I'll stop there for now. :goodvibes
