What do you do on your move day on a split stay (with children)?

We have done split stays with our kids since they were little - oldest is now 10! Usually do a park day, but with a later start, like a lot of PPs have said. We do laundry the night before our move, and throw all the clothes back in suitcases. No need to sort because they're all clean! When we used to have a stroller, we'd put all our park stuff on/in the stroller the night before, and also pack swimsuits.

We'd book a resort or park ADR around 11:30, sleep in, do final pack/etc in the AM. Head to brunch - DH would stay behind to make sure bell services got the luggage.* We'd usually book an early dinner at or near the new resort, too, so if we were waiting for our room we wouldn't really feel the pain. One time when we were moving from BCV to AKV, we just did the first half of the day at BCV and then moved to the kidani pool. That was very relaxing. :) But generally we have fun on our move days. If we are in the park it's not super intense for rides, and we have the new resort to look forward to.

*pre-COVID we used to have bell services move our luggage and it always beat us to the resort. Since then, we've usually just booked a car service to take the luggage and drop it off at the new hotel. Pre-Covid, our rooms were usually not ready until dinnertime and we'd had a few times where it was 7pm and the kids were falling asleep standing up. At least since covid, our rooms have usually been ready pretty early, usually before 4. So, a bit of a tradeoff.

Edited: when our kids needed naps, we would stick 'em in the stroller and walk ... Epcot and the boardwalk area are great for that. I also like the BBQ pavilion at BLT. Very peaceful.
