What do you do on your 1st night ?

Hiya
For some reason we always end up on the later flights and don't manage to get to hotel before 8.30ish, so we just order a pizza to be delivered to room, switch on tv and unpack (very exciting i know) go to bed and wake up at about 4am, and then twiddle thumbs for a couple of hours and go to bed.
Can neevr be bothered to do anything else

Well, we've only been once but we:

- Checked in and unpacked at hotel.
- Went for a little wonder around and picked where we were going to have dinner.
- Went over the road to WnW to pick up out Flex Tickets.
- Had a swim in the hotel pool.
- Changed and went to Sweet Tomatos for Dinner.
- Had a round of Crazy Golf at Congo River Golf.
- Had a beer in the hotel bar.
- Went to bed.

We try to make the most of our time! :thumbsup2

We usually do the unpacking then go out for something to eat (generally Outback or Bennigans) and a quick run round Publix to stock up on essentials. Then it's back to the hotel to chill in front of the TV for a while :)

For the past 5 trips we've stayed at Old Key West so after we've unpacked (and had the obligatory row!!) we have gone over to DTD on the boat and had a snack there. We try and stay up until about 10pm US time.

This year we're staying at Beach Club Villas so I expect we'll either walk around the boardwalk or go for a swim in Stormalong Bay. I'm hoping we can see the Epcot fireworks from somewhere.

We find if we can stay up until bed time local time that we sleep until about 7am the next day and avoid problems with the jet lag.

If only coming home was so easy :confused3  :sad1:

we get a 6 pack and a large 16 inch pizza and have a swim

On our most recent trip at the end of January staying at the Dolphin (we don't have a car and used Virgin transfers) we arrived, unpacked had a quick bite in Picabu, walked along to MGM and watched Fantasmic and then walked to Epcot and watched illuminations then headed back to the Dolphin surprisingly not as worn out as expected, this meant that we were pretty much going to bed USA time at the time we would when at home . Hoping to do exactly the same again in November when we go back!!:cool1:

I just want to go to bed! But DH makes me go for a mcdonalds and a stroll around walmart, to get a few supplies!! Then when you do get to bed, before you know it you're awake again, cos of the time difference!! Then I unpack and wait for BREAKFAST cos I m starving!! Doesn't sound like much fun does it!!:rotfl2:

Get to the hotel, have a swim, then out for something to eat.

It's important we try and adapt asap, as if not my kids are awake at 4am.

We usually unpack then head back out for something to eat (don't really like the plane food) & a quick shop (if we are staying in a townhome) - then off to bed! :)

We always do the same thing as we usually arrive at the same time whenever we go! We get our car at the airport, drive to the villa and begin to unpack, perhaps get changed. Then it's off to Walmart for a shopping trip, we usually buy the basics and dinner for that night. Then it's back to the villa for some rest and maybe a swim!

Get checked in,change out of our sweaty clothes, then Bennigan's (although this time we think that it will be Outback, stock up on Gatorade from Goodings & if the pool is still open a quick dip.Early to bed-early up-B/fast-MK for rope drop!
SD:thumbsup2

Go to hotel/villa, shower/change, straight to Walmart for supplies, Taco Bell takeaway and then swim (if we can stay awake) or sleep. We've tried going to bed early and late and either way didn't matter, we're still up at 4.30am the next day...never mind, we're always at the parks first so no queues that way ;-)

I take it everyone gets a fridge in their room for their "supplies." Can't say i've ever had one.

Are they available in all Disney resorts?

I believe you can still rent them (Refrigerator rentals - for around $10/day plus tax, limited supply available) . Another reason we stay offsite, £20.65/night includes room, fridge, internet inroom and breakfast. Onsite costs that for extras/night:goodvibes
We like having fridge but only onsite for 3 nights in August so won't bother.
