We don't land until 16.45 so by the time we get to the resort we will probably be shattered.
We plan to unpack everything and then go to Bahama Breeze in LBV for some supper, calling in Walmart on the way back for shopping.

What do you do ?

I'll reply here also Alex:thumbsup2
Usually go to DTD to pick up any tickets we have ordered.
Unfortunately next Saturday we are on Later Virgin flight(only one available with Miles and money), dont land until 6:55pm then we have to goto friends house who are cast members, they have got us a ticket for DS's friend. They are going to have us some pizza ready. we won't have time for DTD this time.

We unpack, have dinner at the hotel and then relax in the pool :goodvibes

Last few trips we've got clear of the airport by around 6-6.30pm, and have headed directly to the villa so the kids can get to bed. DW will then unpack while I head off to Publix or Walmart to get basic supplies and some kind of takeaway for us both.

We're then normally exhausted by around 9pm, so it's straight to bed afterwards ready for an early start on our first proper day. Kids are usually awake at 5am or so, thanks to the time difference. :-)

We do very little to be honest, Joshua is usually shattered.

Normally stay in a villa so the plan is to unpack , and I go to Publix for a 'big shop' , get Josh settled and just relax and watch TV for a while.

Explore the resort, unpack, have a row because we're so tired, have a meal and then go to bed.

We unpack, buy our refillable mugs, go for a swim and go to bed. Unlike most of you who seem to go out to eat, we are usually too full after breakfast at the airport and two meals on the aircraft.

we just chill out at the apartment. DH goes out and does some shopping whilst I unpack.... and we try and stay up until normal bed time ... :) usually fall asleep watching tv though! Lol

We are on the later virgin flight next week though... and im a bit worried now.. it seemed like a good idea at the time! lol

We're real lightweights compared to the rest of you LOL! We can't normally summon up the energy to do much more than fall into bed

That's pretty much the way we do it - apart from exploring the resort cos we're too tired to do even that!

One year we had a charter flight that arrived really early afternoon. We were staying that night in The Dolphin, so I peruaded everyone to walk to Epcot for an hour or so. DDs (then about 12 and 16, I think) couldn't keep going for long, so we went back to the Dolphin very early and I remember prodding them to keep awake to watch the fireworks from our balcony at 9pm! Now DDs are older, they keep going longer than me and DH ;)

Lately we haven't arrived at WDW until around 9pm  so there's not much else to do except explore the resort, grab a snack and have a night cap in the bar before heading back to the room, unpacking and going to bed... :goodvibes

We must be hard core!! LOL

We usually throw our bags in the hotel (never unpack cause usually we will stay at a motel the first night just because we hate spending all that money on a night at disney or in a villa and don't get the use out of it)

We usually head off to Magic Kingdom and will have food there and get back to the hotel around 9.30ish, and then watch some tv until we fall asleep.
About 2 years ago we met our friends when we arrived at MK and it was open late and I think we got back around 11.30pm (needless to say we were shattered)!

We usually un-pack a little get changed and head straight to the parks :)

In the past we have arranged to meet our American friends on our first night so hanging around with them seems to take our minds of being tired LOL

Usually means we don't get up so early on our first morning :)

We are on the early virgin flight - any ideas what sort of time we should ( :thumbsup2 ) be in our hire car and driving away - we have set up Dollar Express so hopefully will save some time that way??!!:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

we never plan anything, last yr our flight was delayed so by the time we landed, got through immigration, got luggage hire car etc and drove to resort it was gone 11pm!! we just got chekced in foudn our room and crashed. was great until the boys decided 3am was mornine time (dont you just love jetlag).

so not making any plans for this time round, if we get to the hotel at a decent time that will be a bonus!!

It depends on how busy immigration is, we have gotten thru the airport in 45 minutes on a good day and 2 1/2 hours on a bad. I would say it averages at approx an hour.

Thanks for that!! - I guessed I was asking one of those 'how long is a piece of string questions!!:lmao: ' - but 45 mins - wow!! (Was that from landing to car???!!!!:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 )

That was from landing to sitting on the transfer coach :goodvibes

Hmm well we land around 2:30,we then find the hotel around 6pm:rotfl: (getting a sat nav this time:thumbsup2 ) we usually get to our room, unpack, have a mooch around the hotel, pop back into the car drive to Dennys for something to eat then onto Walmart for supplies, back to the room, where we shower, and early night.

Add me to the too-tired-to-do-anything group! I struggle to stay awake because it's usually been an early morning start and like gilld, I'm not hungry after the food on the flight. I salute those of you who 'hit the ground running' but it ain't me, and it wasn't 20 years ago either (when we first started going) so I don't think it's just an age thing ;). In those days, DH would insist that DS and I expose ourselves to the daylight as much as possible.
