Sounds like we have alot of rain coming into the NorthEast this weekend! Here in S. Jersey the rain could slowly start to move in this evening and last through Saturday. They are calling for a change in temps as well, a high of 61 degree's. So a real Fall weekend.

This is the weekend of the yearly Harvest Festival, so I am sure alot of people will not go now do to the weather. I had not planned on going this year. DH & DD have to work again so I will be home alone.

What to do is my ? Maybe do some cooking and baking, watch some tv, do some reading. I am sure i will find something to do. What would you do? :goodvibes

I have been YEARNING for a rainy weekend! As much as I love getting out and doing stuff - I'd like to just hole up at home for a full day!

I still have ALOT of Tivo to catch up on from when we went to WDW in September.

My floors need to be washed (love wood floors...but it takes me forever to do!)

Books need to be organized (maybe I can send DH down to the basement to build me some bookshelves...hmmmmmmm)

Was thinking of doing a "heavy" meal this weekend too - lasagne or baked ziti! heheh

We really need the rain here in CT...so I'd love to have a rainy weekend!

Play with kids, clean house, cook, bake, read, catch up on sawing or start new project, sleep, watch TV, play games, repeat as needed. Usually I ran out of time I the time I do 2 or 3 things on my list I ran out of time. I always say the one thing I need and lack in my life is and extra day in a week.

That's exactly how I feel. However, this weekend I have to go to a soccer tournament, and I hope to get to the Scituate Art Festival outside too; NEXT weekend would be a MUCH better weekend for it to rain, for me. Oh well...

I think we're included in this weather here in souteast PA--I guess I'll be getting out all the winter clothes this weekend! Have to save some shorts for WDW, tho!

I am from SJ also. My mom goes to the Greek Festival every year in Cherry Hill. It is in a church across from the race track. She said it is really nice. A lot of food, also sell jewelry, and not sure what else. It is, I think Thurs - Sun 12 noon to 1:00 am. I might goes this year and check it out. So there's an idea for ya. :teeth:

I'm embarssed because I think MB and I had the same thoughts

That was my first thought, but didn't post it.

Rainy weekends I scrapbook, nap, read, nap, bake, nap some more but not while stuff is baking, clean a little, nap. You get the picture.

Sit and watch tv or read. tucked in my blanket:)

The weather is nasty here today- rainy and cool. I thought my doctor's appointment was this morning, but it is this afternoon. I'm about to go back to bed and sleep for a while now that older DD if off to school. Nothing like sleeping in on a dreary day.

I live in London so we get these a lot. :) Though lately it has been very nice! Generally I just go on with my normal routine, perhaps go to a museum instead of heading out shopping, or if I am inside I nap, watch tv, catch up on reading/homework, and curl up in bed with my laptop!

You sound like me. I have big plans for the next rainy weekend (which from the looks of things might be the case at least for part of this weekend here in D.C.).

I too have been yearning for a rainy weekend. After a record breaking hot and dry summer my closets all need to be cleaned out and straightened, including the guest room! We leave near the beach, so this summer's weather meant a LOT of house guests, a lot of running in, changing and heading out to the beach, to the marina, late night crabbing, etc. Then add in our WDW trip and you have lots of stuff just tossed where it should not be!! It'll be nice to get everything back in order!

We will shop. :teeth: And I will do some baking.

We're supposed to get the rain here in NY too. And my dad is going out of town. So I plan to unpack from last week's Disney trip, do the laundry from this week & the trip, clean out the refrigerator, clean the kitchen floor, make taco soup & spagetthi sauce. Sunday afternoon/evening I'm babysitting 2 of my nieces (ages 3 & 6 1/2). I might take Monday off.

Looks like we all have the same ideas! I will probably cook a nice roast on Sunday with mashed potatoes and stuff. Have to do laundry and will go through the drawers of all the summer clothes and put them away and pull out the winter ones.

And we may paint my DD's bedroom walls. It needs to be done real bad!
