Were arriving on Sept 30th at around noon. We plan to high tail it to Epcot as soon as we can, and eat dinner at CR around 6:30 and of course watch illuminations.

What do we do about gardengrocer? Can we have it delivered there that am and hope we get in our room early at noon? Can we "bribe" or tip a bellman to take our milk atleast to the fridge in our room?

What have the rest of you done? I really want to place an order but am frightened our food will ruin. I think the only refridgerated item will be milk.

Thanks :)

We simply ask them to deliver when we where going to be there. Gardengrocer really likes to deliver at 4pm or after, Brian from GG told me ater 4pm is best for them. I left my dw and kids at MGM and met GG at 5:30 pm and went back to the parks, Im sure youll find a few other ways in upcoming post. Have a great trip and enjoy SSR.

wonder how late he would deliver? egads, illuminations is at 9pm..thats way late....

eek...

Usually with Wegoshop.com we give Marge our cell phone #, and she calls with an eta when she will be close...

The trick is not so much with the delivery... Bell services can always refridgerate and freeze whatever you need them too... The trick with be with the payment and confirmation of reciept of goods... I am not sure if Gardengrocier would be willing to just leave the groceries with the Bell hops after you have paid for them..

Are you staying at BCV or BWV?? If you are, someone in your party may be able to play phone tag with Gardengrocier and go back to the room when they get there...

We used Gardengrocer last month. I paid for the groceries in advance with my visa card. The day we arrived, we got to our room at SSR at 1 and I called Brian. He said he'd deliver between 5:00 and 7:00, so we all headed to MGM, and I ran back to SSR around 4:45. Around 5:30 I called Brian back to see about when to expect him. He was experiencing delays, and told me to go back to the park and play, he would leave the food with bell services (and that SSR's refridgerator was the nicest, so not to worry about our order - most of which was refrigerated) all we had to do was call bell services and they would get it to us. Because of major delays, Brian didn't show up until almost 9:30 (we were back at the resort by then), so bell services wasn't involved, but it worked out well, and they have things covered. So don't worry

i'm staying at POR that is why i only have milk and maybe juice that needs to be fridgerated...Good to know Brian will work around us..i like his prices and delivery fee's better than wegoshop's...I've heard you just get such individual attention...

So just set it up with the front desk to take the food to the room?

Edited to say i just emailed Brian and he wrote me back...here it is. Very nice guy :)

"Sure, just type into the "Message" area at checkout...."Please deliver to Bell Services". They have refrigerators to keep your items cold. If you expect to leave the hotel before you can check into your room you should choose a late delivery time like 8-10PM and we will make you our last delivery of the day.

Brian Coleman"

We just got back and used Garden Grocer and had Brian deliver them to bell services. He had all the cold stuff in a special bag that was put in a ref. We called and had bell services deliver them right to our room. It worked out well and I will use it again. It was quick and easy.

When we stayed at Boardwalk, they put our cold stuff in their fridge.
When we got to the hotel they delivered it all to our room---the cold stuff was cold! No problem. :cool1:
