So what do you do?

Myself, I jog/walk the treadmill every morning for at least 30 minutes, and once a week I play tennis for 2-3 hours.

Are you exercising to maintain your weight, or to lose?
How much are you trying to lose?

PS - Don't lie/exaggerate to make yourself seem healthier!!!! :rotfl:

I cannot to demanding sports... but I like to get out and walk. Just not in this winter weather!!!! :scared:

I have been doing my Leslie Sansone DVDs... and I just ordered a Jennifer Galardi DVD (like dancercise)

I voted other only because I do more than one thing. I jog, I go to zumba classes sometimes, I lift weights, I sometimes take spinning, during the summer I sometimes ride my bicycle or golf (I'm a total hacker).

I started losing weight in April 2007 and lost 65 pounds. I exercise to keep the weight off. I lift weights to build my muscles and tone what I have. Usually I work out 5-6 times a week, even if I can only fit in 1/2 hour. I usually try to fit in a full hour though.

I do classes that are pretty heavily aerobic. Circuit training class, kickboxing class, sessions on the eliptical/rowing machine, plus a weekly Pilates class that I can't live without. And I walk the dogs. This used to be exercise until we added the dachshund. With 2 inch legs, he can only keep up so well :lmao:

I did click "skiing" because I do it, but it's way too expensive to be any kind of regular exercise.

I teach spinning
I also do a little recreational bike riding

I was a marathon runner for years, until my doctor told me that my knees just couldn't take it anymore. Now I do the P90X routine. It kicks butt! :thumbsup2

I walk and jog and play basketball with my friends weekly. I can't wait to start exercising again. I got my cast off a couple of weeks ago and I have to wear a McDavid lace up brace until Friday. So next week I will start with short walks and work myself into more intense rotinues.

I walk everyday even if I can only fit in 30 minutes. I go to the gym and use the treadmill/elliptical or the weights. On the weekends DH and I ride bikes all day!! I exercise for maintanence, DH needs to lose about 15 lbs. DS's wedding is in June and that has been a huge motivator for DH!!! :thumbsup2

****Looking for a good pedometer...any suggestions, DISer's? :thumbsup2

My job is my exercise - at least I get paid to get my exercise! I work on a horse farm 4 days a week, 7 hours a day, all year round (winter is the worst). In a day, I must walk about 3 miles - I turn out 14 horses individually, clean stalls, lift hay bales, lift 50 lb feed bags, carry water buckets, bend down to put on boots or deal with other matters with their feet and legs, climb over fences, sometimes ride. So I guess it is a pretty complete workout - at least I feel like that when I get home! Oh, and then sometimes I have to do the same thing at home too, but there are only 3 horses here. And then DH asks me if I want to go for a 3 mile walk with him and the dog :faint:.

I live in NE Ohio. Does shoveling snow count as "other"????;)

TC:cool1:

How about have sex? Does that count? I was trying to find out online how many calories you burn doing that but I can't seem to find it...

I've been doing 45-60 minutes of step aerobics on the Wii Fit. I've started elevating it and wear ankle weights. Sometimes I hold hand weights but not always. So far I've lost almost 8 lbs in a little over a month...

The University where I work allows the staff 30 minutes per day paid exercise time. I join the other secretaries in my building to go walking in the Coliseum every afternoon and we just gossip away. We always say we exercise our mouths more than our bodies! We are all doing it for maintenance since there are usually snacks galore in the building. I am lucky to have this perk! :cool1:

Running after a(n) (almost) 2 year old???? :hyper:
That probably doesn't count...:lmao:

Where is swimming????? Swimming should be on the list. Nothing better for weight loss than swimming. And it is fun and peaceful, too. :)

I do the eliptical (or the treadmill if the elipticals are full) and then I swim.

At the Y.

I run 3-5 miles five days a week. Lift weights.

I used to do the elliptical all the time, but I've gotten on a running kick. I do the elliptical occasionally to work those muscles, but right now I'm digging the treadmill.
