What do you do for a Living?

Hi, guys
I am a embroidery digitizer for one of the biggest privatly owned embroidery companies in the U.S.
Its called 5B's Embroidery and is located in Zanesville, Ohio.
Plus I chase my three kids and my fiancee's three kids

I'm a lawyer. (Hold the jokes, please!) I work for the U.S. Dept. of Health and Human Services, doing Medicare and Medicaid law (mostly Medicare).

I'd really love to be a SAHM, and we are currently trying to figure out our finances so I can do that, or at least work part-time. I'm the primary "breadwinner," though, so it may not be possible...we'll see. At least working for the government, I have more manageable hours. I used to work for a large D.C. law firm, and they basically owned me. Not a job that's conducive to having a family!

Until recently, I was in Underwriting for a major auto financier. The job was extremely high stress and I knew that either the job had to go or I was in trouble. So now I'm deciding what to do next. I'm trying to avoid the corporate world because the jobs I've had there have not been the greatest to say the least.

I love the diversity here, DISers are interesting people! :)

Before I had DH 16 years ago I worked at the hospital in ICU and CCU. I wanted to be a SAHM, so I got licensed for family daycare and did that for 11 years at home. I now work about 6 months out of the year and take 6 months off helping DH with his business during his busy times. I also do his books and ordering year round. I love the later the best...it gives me the most time to spend with DS!

STATE FARM INSURANCE!!! The Agency Field Office. Great company and love what I do.

Along with that full time job I'm a wife and mother. With that comes all of the following:

Housekeeper
Accountant
Fund raiser
Psychologist
some law - chasing the boys away from my 2 girls
Bed and Breakfast - for visiting guests
Fashion consultant - shop, you bet I can shop
Artist - painting the walls in my home
Tax Preparer
Handyman
Chef
and on, and on, and on.

I wouldn't change it for anything in the world!
