What do you do first and last?

For me, it all starts in the Magic Kingdom. I must see that castle first. As far as rides go, at Disneyland (California natives, we go every year) we always hit Pirates first but each time we go to Disney World, we get lost trying to find pirates and end up going on the first thing we find after giving up. I travel with my parents (I know, pathetic, I'm 32 years old) but we have such a great time together. Anyway, I usually end the trip by myself doing whatever I think I need to do again. The first time it was MK, riding Big Thunder and Space Mountain. Last time it was MGM and ToT and RnRC. I hate that last night feeling!

We have a tradition to end our vacation. The last thing we do, on our last night is we all ride the Carousel in MK. One thing I wish we would have done on every trip was to pose in the exact same place everytime we went. It would make a nice sequence of trips. Good question!

When I first visit the MK I always say a THANK YOU prayer to Walt Disney! And then I say one for his wife also, for allowing him to be who he was. I am sure it was not always easy on her! Joan :flower: :flower: :flower:

As soon as we check in at GF we're off on the monorail to the Magic Kingdom. It feels like coming home. On the last day (I know this sounds corny) but right before we leave MK (before we go through the turnstyles) we do a "family hug" and say - see you real soon, we'll be back. We never, ever say goodbye. Then we hop back on the monorail for our last ride out of MK. We're usually thinking how long the year is going to seem until we get back!

First is always Epcot. We started that when the children were younger. If we went to MK first, then it was hard to get them to go anyplace else.

Same here. DS8 would spend all of his time at MK if he had his way. The only things outside of MK that he would be willing to sacrifice kingdom time for are Test Track and the Lego store in DTD.

We usually do Epcot first and last. If we do 4 full days, it's Epcot the first day, MGM the second day, MK the third day, and favorites the 4th. We only do AK if we have more than 4 full days. On our favorites day we usually end up in Epcot and historically it's always been Spaceship Earth as our last attraction, since it's sortof the last thing you do on your way out the gates.

first - Its a small world - just seems to get the mood going

last - one last monorail ride around the lake (strange I know)

First Thing afternoon/night at MGM (dinner at Brown Derby and Fantasmic)
Last Thing all day at MK (People Mover aka TTA)

Wildernessfamily - A picture in the same spot sounds like a great idea! DH and I have taken several pics in front of the fountains outside of the Imagination Pavilion. We should continue that even when we have kids!
