What do you do about noisy neighbors?

We've been DVC members since 1997 and alway stay at OKW and for the first time we had really noisy neighbors above us. I understand little kids running and since they replaced the carpet with laminate the floors are noisy. But this was over and above just kids running. They were dragging something back and forth and the dropping things. It was like being in the middle of a drum. i didn't know what to do (not a usual condition) If I called the front desk or security they would know it was us calling and I was afraid it would escalate. What would you have done?

I would call the front desk. We had an issue at BWV with the kids next door running over and banging on our door while their parents used an ilicit substance on the balcony....I called the front desk.

We never heard a noise again.

Not sure what, if anything was done...but it worked.

Agree with call the front desk. You are a DVC member. Now who knows if the person upstairs is renting points or is a member themselves, but it is on those at the resort to make sure you have the best conditions for a magical vacation. If that magical stay is menaced, the only way they know is if you tell them. Don't worry about repercussions, who knows, there may be others that don't want to speak up either, nothing gets done if you don't say anything.

Just remember you're not really calling the front desk, but a call center. Better to go speak to someone there in person IMHO.

For noise, I don't think you need to go to the desk, a call should work. They will contact the appropriate people.

Maybe yes and maybe no. We have had issues that we called about and according to the front desk, they were never notified.

While at BWV we had neighbors roll in at 2:30p from a night at Jelly Rolls. They were all loud, blaring TV, etc. Called the front desk. 10 min later we heard them knock on their door and tell them something. After that all was quiet!!

Go ask politely for them to settle down, and if not start throwing rotten tomatoes at em, that will do the trick

Speak with front desk and next time request a top floor room so you have no one above you
