what do you collect?!?!?

Ahh, the better question would be, what don't I or have I in the past collected?? lol

I am trying not to collect too much right now as the baby is on the way and my goodness the house is just packed.

The only things I still like to get right now are antique toys or antique style toys, tin signs to hang in the kids rooms, and Disney Pins and other Disney things for the house.

However things I have collections of..

Keychains (sure wish I had a way to display them, got some really neat ones)
Barbie Dolls
Boyds Bears
Beanie Babies
Disney things such as snowglobes (would still get some but have no room for anymore righ tnow)
the old toys and tin signs (classic toys too)
Disney DVD's
Cow Parade Cows
Christmas Ornaments
Snowbabies
etc...

Gosh, I don't even know what else. From the looks of it I collect clothes for my son and baby on the way..lol

What Barbies do you have? princess:

I'm here with Stephanie in post #20--I too have started my second curio of Precious Moments figurines.

I also collect Scottish Terrier items.

Hubby collects comic books and Carl Barks Disney Duck lithographs.

In reality, we aren't collectors--we are pack rats!

I collect Disney movies! I have recently become addicted to Vera Bradley bags, so I am collecting those too!

Mostly I collect scrapbooking stuff. "She who dies with the most scrapbooking stuff wins." I'm well on my way to winning. :teeth:

I'm another Precious Moments collector. I also collect pins from the cruise ships we've been on and Christmas ornaments from wherever we travel. I think I'm another one who collects scrapbook supplies but I have yet to complete a scrapbook. :confused3

I collect Salt'n'pepper shakers and cookbooks.

DH collects star wars stuff.

;)

The funny thing is- the collection all started BECAUSE of WDW. I wanted something with Wedding Minnie and Mickey (we were on our honeymoon), but I thought most of the stuff was overthe top- so I bought the Salt'n'Pepper shakers. Then, in Epcot, we were at Ice Station Cool (or whatever it is now) and I found Coke shakers. Then in Germany (Epcot) they had the funniest collectibles that were Mrs. Salt and Mr. Pepper- had to get them.

And a collection was born....

Didn't read the whole thread-
we collect...
Bobbleheads!
had over 800 of the dolls, dropped down to about 100, now we got more!
that is what you get for going to baseball games

I collect jewelry. I love love LOVE jewelry - always have.

It isn't an inexpensive thing to collect, but I love each and every piece I own. DH humors me and for that I am very lucky.

I also seem to have accumulated lots of crystal - anything from glorified glass to crystal is all in a curio in my living room. I don't know why, but I've always liked it.

My mom collected crystal and glass bells and I inherited them so I guess I collect those too.

Swarovski Crystal.
I have two curio cabinets full and I love every piece. When they came out with the five Disney figures last year I of course had to order Minnie & Mickey, but really want all of them. Over time! :sunny:

Lion King items, especially toys. I have many original release ones MIB that say "Now In Theaters!". I'm starting to branch out to lions in general, I'm just obsessed with them. Heh, I even drew that icon of a lion cartoon character to the left under the ol' handle. :)

I also collect Star Wars . . . a rancor has sat on top of my computer monitor for the past 6 years, and I have a 3 ft long dewback with a 12" Stormtrooper riding it that travels with me from job to job. He was a lot of fun on my first day at work whenever I changed financial offices, especially when I'd go in in a suit to a new firm with him tucked under my arm for an office decoration! :goodvibes

Both me and the DH are also starting to collect autographed photos, especially "oddball" ones that are more uncommon characters, though usually not worth much, just our favorites. I love the ones they sell at Disney, the way they are framed, have similar name plates, and the seal on the front, even though I know they are hideously overpriced. Right now we have James Earl Jones' signature on a Mufasa print (not oddball, I know) and Peter Mahew's signed Chewbacca picture from Disney, and we're hoping against hope that we can get either a signed print of Zazu by Rowan Atkinson or Rex by Wallace Shawn this year, since we are both Mr. Bean and Princess Bride fans as well. My DH's prize photo? A cast photo of the Red Green show signed by everyone in it. :)

I collect Cats Meow.

My Mom started the collection and it was passed on to me.
Mom tried to collect each piece in a series...I only collect pieces from places that I have visited or places that are special to me.

I have pieces like:the high schools my Mom & Dad graduated from, the churches my Mom & Dad attended growing up, the church where I was baptized, an ice cream shop my Grandma took me to when I was a child, and many local pieces.

I collect penguins!!! We have over 200 different penguins- posters, stuffed animals, clocks, figurines, etc...

There was even a penguin cake topper on our wedding cake! Well...it wasn't on the very top cause we did have the bride and groom there, but they were on it!

Salt 'n pepper shakers here too. I thought there would be more of us. I have over 100 but havent added any for a long time. I mostly look for disney ones now. They are my favorites.

Also when the kids I work with go on trips I ask them to bring me a refridgerator magnet. Our fridge is covered with magnets from all over. I'm looking forward to getting one from Hungary this summer! :goodvibes

I like to pick up Christmas ornaments from places we travel to (although I forgot to even look for one in Texas when we were there 2 weeks ago :confused3 ). I also pick up a magnet from each place we visit, I like the ones where a picture can fit in it and then I add the pic when we get home and it's like a little memory every time I open the fridge. Regular magnets are fine too, just as long as they have the name of the place. Need to find a new home for the collection though, it covers the whole front of the fridge and Dash pulled one down last week and chewed on it a bit. DD12 thinks we need to go back to Schlitterbahn to replace it :lmao:

DD's collect postcards from every place they go and put them in a book once we get home. Oldest DD also collects bells from vacation spots and frogs of any kind from anywhere. Younger DD collects snowglobes from vacation trips and also Disney ones and anything that is dolphin related.

i collect snowbabies

My brother collects shot glasses..he gets one every place we go! my friends and family have started just sending him ones when they visit places!
