What do you carry your DSLR in in the park?

Thanks for all the suggestions everyone, so many options!!! I'm just gonig to have to start looking one by one.
On a side note, I'm heading to Michigan tomorrow (from ontario) and we are stopping at Great Lakes, and Birch Run outlet malls. We'll be making a few other stops as well, but I will be hunting/looking at different camera bags. Can you guys recommend some good stores to look at if we see them (or seek them out)
Thanks
Erin

I can't help with store suggestions, but if you are going in to actually have a look at bags you may want to try putting them on (backpacks/shoulder pack style etc). There was a bag I absolutely loved and was determined that that was going to be it ... until I went out with someone who had the same bag and after 20 minutes, realized that I was so uncomfortable with a slingshot bag with all the weight across the body on one shoulder that I canned the original plan and went with a backpack. Rather than go through all the options, I find these sort of dilemmas less daunting if you can first narrow it down to the best size and functional design to suit your needs. Then start looking seriously at the rest. Happy shopping :)

Rain... good point. I keep a plastic shopping bag in my hip pack with the rain ponchos and I stick anything I want to keep dry in there. That also works well on water rides.

If you don't have a bag when it starts raining you can get a free clear plastic shopping bag at some of the shops. Not sure if they all do it, but I've gotten them at different shops all over WDW.

I've never had a WDW shop tell me no when asking for a bag to keep my camera dry. I think it's actually a WDW shopping bag that's in one of the pouches on my camera strap now, in fact.

I actually was trying to find a bag that would allow you to have space for camera gear(Body + lens, one extra lens, and maybe space for a flash) and space for some snacks, a jacket, and maybe a water bottle holder. But I could not find one that fit my needs. I considered the lowepro slingshot

But I found that one to be too small for my needs. In the end I went with having the camera in my hands throughout the day with one lens and a backpack to carry all the other stuff. I did also keep a ziplock bag in case it rained.

FYI: I was able to do each of the parks twice, so I would have my standard zoom one day, and a wide angle the next visit.

If I don't want to carry more than one or two extra lenses, the Crumpler 5 million dollar home is perfect for me. It's crossbody style so you are hands-free, and you can whip the camera out in a second. It closes two ways - with very strong velcro (I mostly use this so I can whip it out in a second), and with more secure clips. If you are at a place where it wouldn't be appropriate to make noise with velcro, you can tuck away the velcro flaps and only use the clips. "Stealth Mode" LOL

There are good pockets for everything, too. It seems like it would be perfect for what you describe - a DSLR, a point & shoot, and a camcorder would all fit in here with room to spare.

A little pricey, but very good quality. A huge factor for me is that it's very comfortable to wear, and I have a hard time wearing anything that rubs on my neck. This one doesn't bother me at all. It's very light - 1.65 lb.

I also have the 6 million dollar home and the 8 million dollar home for when I want more gear with me. Because I love these so much, the backpack style bag I spent $70+ on never gets used at all!
