What do you carry with you? (while at the parks)

This is a great thread, and I'm wondering if someone here can help me with a piece of information. I'm working on a kids' Disney bag - for carrying in the parks. One of the things I want to include is a pocket to fit an autograph book and another for a fat autograph pen. My kids are older now - and I'm sure one of their old autograph books is somewhere in the house - but I can't seem to find one. Could someone send me the dimensions of a typical autograph book purchased in the parks? I was just in WDW earlier this month, but my daughter and I had the idea for the bag on the flight home. This is the last piece of info I need before I finish cutting and begin to sew!
Thanks so much!

If you are prone to getting blisters, carry some moleskin. Sounds weird, but it is sort of like a piece of flannel with adhesive on the back. You put it over the spot where you feel a blister is forming and it really helps it feel better. It works much better than a bandaid. You can get it at Walgreens or CVS.

Thanks again everyone for the replys! So many things I would've never of thought of! I love the Moleskin suggestion, I'm going to pick some up since I just bought all of us new spring shoes and crocs for the trip, I have a feeling I may need it.

And I've already bought the "big fat pens" for autographs at the dollar store yesterday, I would've never of thought of that, I would've just brought regular pens.

You can buy the rain ponchos at the parks, but it's much cheaper to hit the dollar store before you go. You can get a few extras, like for the stroller, to keep it dry when you go inside an attraction. Good luck!

They sell "mickey ponchos" for either $6 or $7 at any retail store in the parks or the resorts. Very cute, plus if they tear, they will replace them. They come in child size and adult, clear with Mickey on them. Also, instead of carrying neosporin and bandaids, we take the bandaids that already have neosporin on them. We also take a deck of cards. Love to play go fish or crazy eights while waiting in line or sitting cooling off. Found some "pooh" cards so that was fun. We have lots of fun with that. Also small baggies with granola or cheerios or goldfish, whatever YOU like to snack on can be a good thing for your bag. Definitely the baggie(large) for the phone and camera for the water ride. Have a great trip!!!

Lots of great ideas from posters. We have twin nearly 5 year olds, and I am the packer of the backpack. Lots of different sections for everything, plus a clasp inside to secure your car key too, and different clear detachable sections to put in money and tickets for easy access. We also rent a double stroller. A good idea is to actually rent it from the little gift shop that is next to where you buy your park tickets (before you make the trek to the entrance), there are rarely any lines in this store, so when you get through the actual park entrance you can jump right up to where they are handing out the strollers and give them your prepaid ticket. I find this saves a lot of time, since there is usually a long line at the stroller purchase counter that is located inside the park entrances). Then the stroller becomes a good place to set your backpack on while you are pushing it around, and I just have to grab it and take with when we go on a ride or see a show. Also, the stroller has pockets in the back to put any drinks or other items that you can just leave with the stroller when you park it. Have fun!:woohoo:

I did forget something, when it's really hot (this was especially helpful when my kids were babies) I'll bring a spray bottle filled with water. My DS17 (he's really the one that uses it) loves that when he gets all sweaty he can just spray himself down. They do sell some with a fan attatched, but they're pricey (I thought of it before WDW did anyway:laughing:).
