I was wondering if there a things you ALWAYS bring back with you because you can't by them in the UK, or they are difficult to find.

Top of my list is 'Scent Free Bounce'. My wife and I tend not to like strong scents, and the only bounce fabric softeners sold here are scented.

Motts Clamato juice in on our list as it is only ocassionally available locally.

Cat Foods. We always bring a few back because our cat loves things she has never tried before.

Oreo's used to be on our list, and we always brought several boxes back with us. We don't do this so often now that they are becoming more common locally.

Things we always TAKE, include Marmite (They sell such miniscule pots in the USA, not enough for a couple of breakfasts).

We also take Patacs curry pastes so we can make the ocassional curries in our DVC flat, as curry spices are hard to find.

Hi Andrew,

Great question! I must say there is nothing I take with my (though actually if I did take anything, like you it would be Marmite LOL)

What we like to bring back: Folger's coffee, Pop Tarts (the different flavours we cannot get here), Twixes (so many yummy flavours) and last time we also brought back some Pokemon cereal for our DD's.

Cheers

Karen

This is so sad I'm not sure I can admit to it ...... well, okay, just this once ....... I bring back Glad sandwich bags :o

They are little polythene bags with a fold over piece (rather like a pillowcase) and have so many uses.

My other stuff I normally buy in Wal-Mart is Equate (own brand, ie cheap ::yes:: ) extra strength pain reliever - acetaminophen - which is our paracetamol.

That's it apart from the odd Hershey bar with almonds.

Karen and Andrew: I fall into the 'Marmite - yuk' camp :D

We don't take anything in particular now, except things to tide us over the first few days.

On our earlier trips, and especially when we were staying on-site at WDW and not venturing very far outside of WDW, I would stock up on two-weeks' supply of tea bags and cereal bars as I wasn't sure I'd be able to get them in the resort shops (I could).

We usually bring back some Lawrey's Seasoned Salt as it's a firm family favourite and I can't ever find it here now. DDs sometimes bring back Fruit Loops and various chololate bars / sweets that look different from those in the UK, and lots of great craft supplies that we can't get hold of very easily here.

Like Pootle, I often bring back household goods like ziplock bags (great for travelling), cookie cutters, American cup cooking measures, kitchen gadgets, etc.

I always do my best to bring back some comsumer electronics that are cheaper over there....in the past Ive brought back a dvd player (before you could get them over here), a gamecube (again before they were out in the uk), a gameboy advance, a radar detector, and plenty of other things.
This year im hoping the new handheld PSP is out (but I dont think it will be), and I might get a GBA SP simply because they are cheaper.

We usually bring back several packs of fig rolls from the dollar store - very tasty and much better quality than the ones you get in sainsbury's.

Jelly Belly Beans. I know you can get them in the UK, but they are half the price in the US. Several large tubs are always brought back.

Trail mix...all sorts of yummy flavours and I bring back lots.

BBQ sauce. We tend to bring back a different jar each trip. Trouble is, we can never remember which ones we tried and liked when we go back again!!

Never take anything, but I do miss Walkers crisps and proper orange squash (not Kool aid...urrrgggh) after awhile! Sorry, but Marmite is the foulest substance on the planet.

Hiya

the only thing we seem to take over is polos

but we always fetch tons back, especially peanut butter m & m's my sister in law is pregnent and is dying for some theyre her craving but I dont go over till november.

we fetch back a1 sauce and lots of halloween and christmas ornaments

Jack Daniels sauces, Bols butterscotch liqueur and Bellywashers drinks are always high on our list of must-haves!! Oh, and Christmas tree ornaments as well!!!

:jester: :jester: :jester:

A1 Steak Sauce ~ You can't get it here and it is just so delish !!!!

We like to bring back Froot Loops and Jelly Belly Beans, that's about it in the food dept, non-food items include Yankee Candles, food bags - (large selection of) and Power Ranger toys for DS's - they are always at least one series ahead of us and takes about another year for the stuff to reach our shops!!

Cath:D

It's those little zippy bags for us too! DH and I were discussing this only yesterday. We used to have a little hardware store in our town that sold them, but since Wilkinsons have set up shop here the little shop closed down.

Libby

Thanks for reminding me about ziplock bags, we always bring several packs.

Also Saran Wrap. The cling films sold in the UK are nowhere near as good.

Datl sauce (hotter than Tabasco)

Also, I would love to bring back a selection of all the Ben & Jerrys we can't get here.

Andrew

Multivitamins are a third the price of the UK. And pistachios.

I always take my teabags (us ones just aren't the same) and my Heinz Salad Cream - just can't live without it and its sooooooooooo expensive to buy there - I get a squeezy one and pack it in a poly box so its safe, oh and this year a squeezy branston pickle as well.

What I bring back as much as I can not normally edible things but mostly trainers for DS ( my 12 year old has HUGE feet size 10 in mens shoes - so alot cheaper than here), last time we bought back 10 pairs between the four of us, in fact I gave eldest DS strict instructions not to out grow his current trainers until Friday!!!

Walgreens antihystimins
Victorias Secret Pear perfume and body spray etc
Clam chowder in a can

Peanut butter chocolate twis m&ms etc
Spray cheese
A few bottles of diet cherry coke abd pineapple tango.

Wow,what a great thread!!!

Well,I don't really take anything out of the ordinary to Florida.Just clothes and medicine really, you know, just the usual stuff.
We allways bring back loads of toys, star wars(for me,big kid!),disney and hello kitty.Sweets and coffee allways seem to end up in the case as well.Oh trainers because they are really cheap(good ole nike).

Muppet the zip lock bags in Tescos don't have the little plastic runner on them unless they've changed the design recently.
