What do you bring into the parks?

I carry a small backpack filled with water bottles, snacks, wallet, phone, poncho, plenty of bandaids etc.

what is it that people wear around their necks to carry room keys and stuff like that in it ? i've heard you guys talking about it before, but it has slipped my mind

Some folks wear lanyards, but I wear the following hooked on my belt loop:

this is great ... i've been a little under the weather and was finally able to get back online and read these posts today. Thanks, everyone for your great advice ... I'm trying to decide what shoes to wear. I have heel spurs and must wear shoes that are a little arched - kind of like for people with high arches. I was thinking about the Croc Niles - are these as comfortable as the original Crocs? I've read lots about TEVAs - what makes them so great?
