So far I have a small packback and have this in it:

park map
camera
undies & shorts for DD2
Ponchos X 5
1 umbrella
2 autograph books
2 Sharpie click-its
Gum
Snack Crackers
Rain poncho for stroller
ear plugs for kids (noisy rides)
small tube of sunscreen
couple of bandaids

That's it so far and it seems pretty light. I must be missing something vital! I do plan on bringing a small cooler with a bottle of water for each of us. Our stroller has a basket that will carry our stuff, so we don't actually have to haul it.
Anything I'm missing or don't need? Do I need to take the rain stuff every day or just watch the weather report?

TIA~!

Ours is one of those camel backs that has a bladder inside and a tube you can drink from... we fill it with ice & water
autograph book & pen
sunscreen
ponchos x 3
baby wipes
napkins
snacks (fruit rollups, rice crispies treats, oatmeal bars and the like)
sweater or long sleeve shirt for DD

I think that's it...

I am going to add bubbles and pixie dust (edible glitter) to add to the magic. Also, swim suit for dd 3 year old in a zip lock bag. Also, I put the extra clothes for my dd 3 in a zip lock bag. I figure if I have to change her that the outfit was dirty and I don't want that dirt in my back pack (you can also push out all the air and save space. I also carry a couple of extra zip lock bags for left overs at meals.

I wouldn't take the ponchos unless I thought we would need them. Depending on when you go, it might not be too rainy. We take fruit snacks and water bottles to avoid the really expensive junk food (we take our own).

Perhaps some medicine from the cabinet... for headaches/sore feet and legs.. etc.. :headache:

Also maybe some baby wipes/wet ones. Kids can get messy after ice cream and what not.. Instead of toting them off to a bathroom to wipe up a sticky mess, just pull out a wetnapkin. :mickeybar

Perhaps some ID tags to slap on your kids incase they get lost.. (parents names.. cell number..room numbers..). Place extra ID tags in the bag incase your kids loose one, and then you can retag your kids. :thewave:

I always carry bug repellent wipes (good for evening fireworks, etc.), wet wipes, Tylenol (most shops have packets of two Tylenol for like $2.50!), and Imodium - nothing like getting stomach troubles in the middle of the parks!

Gallon ziplock bags. They keep your stuff dry on wet rides, and you pack all you stuff in them and pull it out in a clear bag for security check going in. Saves time. Can save your camera in rain too.

Small piece of "mole" skin in case anyone gets a hot spot on feet.

I second the baby wipes. They're good for adults too.

Sun screen. Re-apply throughout the day, especially after wet rides.

Small ziplock bag with folded copies of important numbers, ADR #'s, etc.

Strangely, I've never had problems with bugs at WDW. I think they spray really heavily, and we usually don't go spring/summer. Probaby a good idea to carry a tiny bottle though. Deet is the only stuff that really works if bugs are bad.

I second the immodium. That can save a day in the park.

In the past I've carried the smallest Swiss army knife with scissors, but I don't know if they still let you in with one. I would think a small pocket knife in your pocket would not be a problem.

Ear plugs are good for the fireworks too, depending on where you watch them from.

Sunglasses for all.

Hats for all.

They make Crystal Lite packets that are good for one 20oz bottle at a time that we carry. Makes the icky water taste better. They're tiny, too.

I'm sure I'll think of more little things later. :teeth:

Hand sanitizer

Chapstick

Hair tie (if you have long hair!)

Peppermints/altoids/jolly ranchers or something like that

Eyeglass cloth if you wear eyeglasses

Contact supplies if you wear contacts

Postcard stamps, addresses (preferably pre-printed labels) and a pen (a great way to kill time while waiting for shows/rides/food/parades)

Somebody said they use a stickit note to cover the sensor in the restrooms to keep the toilet from flushing too soon. This seemed like a good idea.

I never thought about that. I can see where that would give you a bit of a ::::startle and a rush::::: :rotfl:

I don't know what they mean by edible glitter but how about the sugar sand that bakers use to decorate cookies?

I always carry bandaids and neosporin, kleenex, tiny eyeglass repair kit, in addition to some of the aforementioned.

We also grab a bunch of "Mickey Stickers" and use them on the toilets.

We bring:

* Water bottles, sometimes with Crystal Light lemonade.
* Sunscreen (both body and face)
* Sunglasses
* Ponchos (when it looks like rain. My DH had to wear a garbage bag that a CM from the Beach Club pool bar gave him because he left his behind!)
* Autograph stuff
* Pens
* Cell Phone
* Camera
* Purell
* Bandaids and neosporin
* Tylenol (both adult and kids)
* Baby wipes
* Napkins
* 1 Gallon ziplock bag for refillable mugs after the morning coffee is gone.
* Hand towel from hotel for Kali River Rapids day
* Change of clothes (or swimsuit) for kids for Kali River Rapids day.

Yes. It can get heavy.

I carry a messenger bag and mine has:

first aid kit - bandaids, tape, moleskin, small folding scissors
travel size purell
travel size sunscreen
travel size lotion
compact tripod
3 ponchos in 2.5 gallon ziploc bag, folded up and all air squeezed out
1 bandana (DS uses it as a mini-blankie)
cell phone
2 autograph books
1 autograph pen
10 trading pins
4 extra rechargeable batteries
2 extra memory cards
1 2x3.5 notebook with important numbers & for taking notes

sometimes I don't bring the tripod (during the day) and sometimes I don't bring the ponchos, but usually everything else stays the same. I take this messenger bag everywhere we go, not just to disney.

How about a couple of toys or books, a small box of crayons and a little notepad to keep small ones occupied when waiting for a show, or at dinner. Definately anti bacterial wipes and gel, a large bottle of sunblock, sunglassed, bug spray, don't forget the Arnica for bumps and falls. I don't pack rain gear, if it starts raining you can usually go in somewhere. I second the contact stuff if you wear them, and extra pair and solution. Also you might want to throw in some pads or tampons just in case. Extra batteries for your camera, and don't forget the bug spray. Last Oct. MNSSHP mosquitoes were horrible, the cast member handing out candy in front of thunder mtn. was like, " is that bug spray I smell, I am getting eaten up." so we let him use some! :wizard:

Where can I find edible glitter??? That sounds like areally cute idea!!!

Thanks :)

You can find the glitter in most craft stores, by all the Wilton supplies.

Oh! This is a fun thread idea!

Little pocket in front:
-lip gloss
-sun glasses
-gum/mints
-pen
-medicine (antihistamines, ibuprofen, etc.)

Big Pouch:
-wallet
-cell phone
-camera (batteries, memory card, etc.)
-wet wipes or instant hand wash (Bath and Body Works has 'adult' wet wipes in scents like 'warm vanilla sugar' and 'coconut lime verbena'. Very handy in 90+ degrees temperatures.)
-band aids/moleskin
-water bottle
-purchases for the day!!!
-guide maps

Do not forget a towel. I get one from the hotel each day. Used for wiping down wet Fantasmic bleechers one night and that dry behind alone made it worth carrying. We also use it to mark our place for parades.

Also if you bring a stroller what about a poncho for the stroller? I always have one so if it looks like rain we cover it. If it is raining and we have to park it I do not have to worry that it is gong to get wet.

I pack:
Small First Aid kit with headache meds, allergy, extra contact lens, imodiom and tummy stuff, band aids, bllister band aids mole skin and a little pair of scissors I got in a sewing kit, elastics for hair. That is in a plastic waterproof container about the size of a deck of cards.

I bring a zip lock with snacks: gum, candy, crackers and a few little treats

I bring a Zip lock with a few other Ziplocks in it. There are so many uses for it. My favorite is for sharing a pop corn snack. I buy a box and then distribute it in smaller ziplocks for the kids. No fighting over who is going to hold the box and each person gets a small snack without rushing.

Wipes
Bath Towel and wash cloth

Blinky Things and glow sticks for dark rides and night activities

Hidden Mickey book

Daily Plan with my touring plan and ADS on it so my passporter stay in the room.

Crayons and a small pad (my child will wait forever if she can color)

Big honking Digital SLR camera which adds a lot of weight but priceless in the pictures I get.

Business cards I have printed for free. I always make friends waiting for parades or in lines and when I meet another Disney manica such as myself I give them my card this has my name and e mail addess only.

Chap Stick

Sunscreen

Autograph book and extra pens (we always seem to lose them)

Sunglasses

Lipstick and cover up (hey a girl has to look her best)

I have been on several trips with my family and they have all remarked on my magic backpack just like Dora if you need it, it is inside. The two things that got me the most points where the towel for the Fantasmic bleechers and the baggie so the cousins could all share a box of popcorn.

I loop it over the handle of the stroller and only carry it on rides which helps my back!

I pack and repack it each day replenishing what we used.
