what do we need cash for vs disney dollars?

guess my hesitancy comes from not being sure what we need cash for vs disney dollars
any tips on how to make these daily envelopes?

I would go with a mixed of cash, traveler's checks, and credit cards. Because that way have different ways paying for things.

I bring more cash than Disney dollars and don't always bring travelers' checks. I use my Disney Visa quite a bit to earn more points. The problem I see with Disney dollars is if you don't spend all the money you've alloted. I always end up with money left over at the end of a trip (but I bring extra), so I would rather have that in cash and not disney dollars. If you bring Disney Dollars make sure you spend those at the beginning of the trip. Don't tip housekeeping, etc., with Disney Dollars, but it might be okay at restaurants.
