What do we do after Vero Beach?

We will be at Vero Beach and have a 7:30 flight out of MCO at night. I believe check out is 11:00am and I am looking for ideas of what people have done from the time that they leave Vero to flight time. My only idea is Kennedy Space Center. What else have you done? We have a seven year old.

It would depend on how long I had already stayed - but we probably would consider hanging out at the pool for the day. There are lockers and showers in the washrooms at the pool.

I would look up the offered activities at the nearby Environmental Learning Center.

If during the cooler months, I would definitely get to Blue Springs SP to see the manatees that use the warm spring in winter. One day this past season over 400 manatees used the park. I have visited when 200 were present. Here's a link to Save the Manatees to learn more!

You could go up to KSC or to the Cocoa Beach/Port Canaveral area for some touring. If you drive straight north on A1A you will have some nice views of both the ocean and the rivers at different points along the way.
