yea, im really bored at this point
but every year i do go to disney world, sometimes my family and i come back to the hotel room early because we go to the one in florida, and it gets a little too hot for us in the summer. So when we get back to the hotel, i often have abosutly nothing to do for a couple of hours

so im asking, what whould you do or reccomend?

I guess the decision would be based on which resort you are staying at. I love to visit the other resorts and this would be a great way to do it..depending on which park you leave from, just hop the bus that goes to a different resort:) Amazing what you will find and the time will fly by:) I'm not sure if this is what you are looking for but it's what I do when I need a change of pace:)

:) Take in a movie at Downtown Disney. Like above touring the other resorts is a blast. I hope to see the Geyser at WL this year.::yes::

We take breaks every day and we like doing picnic lunches at the pool and having a few beers. We also wander, more like boat, over to FW, great buffet, great tavern Crocketts and pizza. Our last 10 stays have been at WL and we like walking over to FW, we'll take drinks down to the pool and a novel and jusyt relax. We have taken the boat to CR and wandered around the shops and game room and then taken the monorail to the Poly and Gf for more shopping. I mean there are so many places to go, DTD, AMC, POFQ and take the boat to DTD, lunch at Capt. Jacks, Putt Putt, Boardwalk's ESPN Club. We could wander all over but plopping our butts in a chasie lounge, cooler of beer and a good book can easily blow a few hours every day and relaxing is what a vacation is susposed to be.

Usually I nap or go swimming. The only problem is I hate to waste the time but it gets so hot you need a break. I have gone to WDW 9 times and I still haven't seen everything.

enjoy your resort...:goodvibes ..or someone else's ;) take a nap-- enjoy a pina colada :rotfl2: ... and a good book .. go to the arcade and play air hockey...enjoy different magic:lovestruc

We love to go to WL. It is such a beautiful resort. Once we meet a few friends in the lobby. We ended up sitting there for hours. In my opinion best lobby on property. It is so relaxing to just sit in those comfy chairs.

I sit at the pool while the kids swim. I read a book and sip on some frozen adult beverage that screams "I am on vacation." When the kids were little, they would nap in the room and I would sit outside the room with a book and a vacation drink. We always go back to our resort in the afternoon and relax by the pool. We don't believe in going out from morning to night. It is a vacation and we like to relax. Works for us!::yes::

Oh, I so agree, we have stayed here for the last 10 trips, like dying and going to heaven. Pool time is a favorite of ours, drinks, sandwiches and in and out. If it gets too hot, up to the room, movies, we bring a portable DVD player and some movies and hook it up to the flat screen and chill. Hey., rent a pontoon boat and see the lagoon and lake and at night we hit the boat dock or beach to catch the EWP. Even better, take the boat in the evening over to FW and go into Crocketts Tavern, along with Trails End and we sit by the bar, best pizza on property, pitchers of beer and never any crowd, so peaceful there and then walk over to the horse barn and see the horses that work Main Street in the MK. The Settlement Trading Post is a unique gift shop and grocery store, it's there for the campers so they have alot of good stuff pretty cheap, say a dozen eggs, slab of bacon etc.

Sorry to ramble but the atmosphere at the WL is so different from all the other resorts that you feel like you're out west and not in WDW. We stay courtyard view, sit on the balcony and have a glass of wine, morning newspaper at your door, man o man, my place to be, 64 days and counting.

You have extra time at WDW ??? Wow ! Never had that problem !! The only time we have extra time is when we're sleeping, about 5 or 6 hours a nite !! :thumbsup2

I always have several books and my cross stitch with me to work on. The kids like to swim in the pools or go to the arcade. DH usually gets on his computer and checks his email or does work.

We don't usually spend much extra time in the room or at the resort although I'm hoping to begin changing that with our next trip. I'd love a few hours in the middle of the day to enjoy the resort!

I totally agree!! We never have extra time. I Plan our days all up and use every minute. I don't get here every or every other year. So we do as much as we can.

We make sure we have extra time, every day. A vacation is supposed to be just that, a vacation. We used to do the commando trips 30 years ago, stays of 4-6 days, up at dawn and close every park, long gone are those types of trips. We would be more tired and miserable from them then what the vacation was worth, needed a vacation from the vacation. We finally saw the light, vacations are to refresh and relax and no better way in doing WDW is adding time, length of stay days. We boosted our stays to 10-12 nights, to us it's better than 2 trips a year since we only have to pay for travel once and we get to really settle in, actually unpack and call the room our own. We have time each and every day to do alittle Disney, alittle parks, alittle sightseeing and alot of recharging and relaxing and when we leave for home, we're not all tuckered out but pleasantly refreshed to head home. We've come along way in planning our stays but we now get the most out of vacations, see and do just about everything and feel real good that we actually got our moneys worth. I've always said its, location and length of stay that makes Disney a vacation, for us that is.

Extra time,:rotfl2: never had any.
If you are talking about relaxing time, We do it every day. Sometimes in the room, sometimes lay by the pool. But it is not extra time. It is part of almost every day of every vacation.
