We are encountering a problem we never had before. In the past we have always had AP's or they had the park hoppers. If we needed 2 days of tickets we just bought a few 5 day park hoppers and then just saved the extras for later. It worked out well.

Now we are out of saved park hoppers, our AP just expired and we don't plan to buy new ones until Jan 2007. However we are heading over to SSR for 3 nights and Vero Beach for 3 nights in May. We only want to go to WDW for 2 days (don't even need to hop.)

Trying to figure out the best way to do this. Just buy 2 one day tickets when we get there? They way they have the tickets now it is so much cheaper to go for more days, but adding on the never expire to a 10 day ticket adds so much more $$$$ to the cost.

Any ideas we are over looking? It seems like a lot to buy AP and only use 2 days until Jan next year. We plan to go May in one year too so we would really rather wait until Jan and use it for both trips then. In the past we have gotten so much use out of our AP we got it down to $15 a day.

I guess we need to just bite the bullet and fork out the $60 a day and be happy we saved in the past. (and will again in the future.)

We are not FLA residents so no discounts that way. Any other ideas we over looked?

Thanks everyone. :goodvibes

dealing with this same thing as my parents are joining us for only 2 disney days--wouldlove to hear if anyone has suggestions......

If you go to disneyworld.com and use the menu on the home page to buy tickets, you will see that you can buy a one day up to a ten day ticket with whatever options you want. So you can buy a 2 day ticket and add park hopping, no expire or whatever. Moneywise a 2 day ticket will be kind of pricey but since you cant buy one with say 5 days and use the other 3 days some other time, unless you pay for non expire, you would have to bite the bullet and get the 2 day.

Some of the ticket brokers also sell 2 day tickets but check to be sure.

Hope this helps

We just need three days with park hopping but i bought 7 day with park hopping and no expiration so that, for about $150 over the price of 2 three day hopper, I could get four more days on EACH of the TWO tickets to use on a future trip. (just ordered from Ticketmania so hope that works out!)

The only tickets I buy are the 10 Day Non Expiring Hoppers from Ticketmania (use Mousesavers for addl saving). Even with two days used there is nothing like the feeling of having 8 days "in the bank". Even if you go with AP next year, chances are the days will be helpful down the road in filling in the gaps between AP renewals, allowing for more convenient every other year renewals.

I too just ordered the 10 day non expiring park hopper from ticket mania witht he mousesavers newsletter discount for my DS age 20. He will be joining us for 4 or 5 days in September but I know that at some point he will be with us on another trip and by then the tickets will be more expensive. I really splurged and added the extras also as he loves DQ and with 6 extras he should be all set.
There were probably other options but that seemed best at the time. It can get very confusing and I'm still not certain the one I chose was the best but it's done now so will not look back.
