Hi All,
I'm wondering what the light chaser type flash lights cost in the parks. That's something I might consider picking up in advance if I fidn a good deal since I have three kids to buy for. If I can't get much savings, I think the kids would rather pick them out themselves at WDW.

I was also wondering the same about the pin lanyards or Mickey Mouse pin bags.

Our trip is in December so I have lots of time to bargin hunt!

Thanks!

YOur best bet would be to go to Wal Mart on Bronson Dr. (I think ). They have a huge selection of Disney stuff. I was told that it is the busiest Wal-Mart maybe in the country so if possible go before or after park hours unless you are going in off season. We went at 9 pm last summer and did not get out till 1230 am.

Anyway I can tell you that things like portalble fans sold in the park for 15 were only 5.95 and rain ponchos were only 3.00 sure they did not have the Mickey logo BUT they came in different colors which is good since you can differentiate your family from the 2 million other people in yellow.

They had lots of good tee shirts too and the prices were 5 or 6 dollars, one third of the price in the park. They also had lanyards and bags for pins .You would be able to get 3 for the price of one at the park.
If you cannot go to this Wal Mart go to a local one and get your items before you go. You will save at least half.

Dollar Store has the rain ponchos in a package of 2/$1. We buy several to use once and throw away.

To clarify, the Walmart that Bella is talking about is located on Hwy 192 which is also called Irlo Bronson Hwy or Irlo Bronson Memorial Hwy. It is located right next to and on the same side of the street as Medieval Times. It's a busy Walmart, but have never found it to be too daunting except at Christmas when I swear, the entire population of the US was trying to check out at once!

They really do have a nice selection of Disney items (one whole part in the front of the store is dedicated to just Disney) for way more than reasonable prices compared to the parks. The quality of the t-shirts is nice. They have a selection of candy too...some of those big Disney suckers...I'm not sure if they have the giant size ones, but the medium ones anyway.

Last summer I think I paid $18 for the Sorcerer Mickey one at WDW. A few weeks ago I bought the Cinderella one at the Disney Store for $9.99.

The light chasers are just under $13 in the parks. If you have a Disney Store in your area you can get them for a few dollars cheaper and they are usually a different character then those available in the park. If you watch the DS clearance racks you can get a terrific baragain on them also. After Christmas I bought 5 Santa Mickey ones for $1.75 each to take on our Dec trip (just be sure to take the batteries out.)

Since it is a Wal-Mart SuperCenter, does that mean they sell groceries?

Yes they sell groceries, have a deli, etc..its a great store as you can get everything you need.

They even have a McDonalds inside

Yep, those light chaser thingees are about $12-15 depending upon which one...someone took the words out of my mouth by suggesting you go to the Disney store- they have them for about $10 and often ( like if you go on a holiday weekend) they will be on sale! Some of them are the exact ones they have in the parks, some are different.

the beltz outlet mall had them for just a few dollars last year when we went, you might try there.
