What do the points mean....

What do the points after the search results on CTTM mean? It says bid value then an amount [Bid Value: $0.09]. Does CTTM get the amount listed if I click on the higher bid? I want to do that to benefit the site if that is the case. Anyone know????

Hi,
Someone else just recently asked me this as well. I hope I can explain this best I can.
These types of search engines are called pay for performance. A website pays an amount for placement in a search engine. The more they pay, the higher they will be in the result (1st, 2nd, etc...)
When the result is clicked, we make a small percentage of that money that was paid for placement. We don't receive the whole amount, but the larger the bid amount, the larger our part of the percentage. When results are clicked we make enough to cover the cost of the points we give out. When results are not clicked, we take the hit.
