What do most people wear to Le Cellier?

I hadn't really thought of "appropriate" dress for Le Cellier. Because I'm an anal planner, when we eat there in 14 days (whee!) I know that we will be wearing khaki shorts and Mickey Mouse t-shirts that I picked up at Kmart, of all places. I will not feel the least bit awkward in that attire.

We ate there in May. We wore our matching Disney t-shirts & jeans. We fit right in!

We have had dinner there twice and both times we were in in shorts. There were some people dressed a little nicer, but there were plenty of people dressed just like us.

We eat there every trip and we wear the typcial shorts, t-shirts, capris that we wore all day in the park. Of course the added BO is always a pleasure for those sitting near us, but hey, we walked the park all day!

How is the temperature in the restaurant? Will we need sweaters in late August? I know it's been 100 here recently and yet some of the restaurants are icy cold!

LOL! I have never thought of Epcot as being more refined! What is refined about it? I must be missing something. Do you dress down for AK?

Maybe because the restaurants are a little more refined that those in the other parks- the Studios has the Derby, but MK and DAK don't really have many fancier restaurants. The WS restaurants in Epcot are a little nicer.

The park isn't refined though. Maybe a restaurant or two might be. Most of the Epcot restaurants don't even had a dress code. Can't imagine a place that has talking water fountains and turtles to be considered refined! LOL!

You're not dorks...you know how to dress appropriately for dinner ;-) Just because it is a theme park, doesn't mean people have to dress like crap. Some peoples idea of "jeans and a t-shirt" is much different than someone else who can at least look cleaned up. It is about looking respectable for yourself, if not for anyone else.

No you are not dorks. My husband and I like to dress up all the time (actually we do not own a pair of jeans, as crazy as it may seem). We dress up for each other not for anyone else. I find it distasteful when people show up at a sit down restaurant, sweaty and smelly and wearing the same clothes they would wear to clean the yard at home.

So I guess the other 99% of folks that eat at theme park restaurants in their theme park attire are distasteful? Oh please. The only thing I find distasteful are judgemental people that look down upon someone that chose to wear shorts and a t-shirt to a park dinner.

I will be wearing standard park clothes - shorts and a tank top. I don't remember seeing anyone not dressed in park clothes last year. In the August heat I don't know how you could stand to get dressed up unless you were not going to visit the park at all.

Normal theme park attire is fine at all inside-theme-park eateries. You will see people in suits and ties at Le Cellier, because it is very popular with executives (both in-house and not), but you will also see bermuda shorts and t-shirts.

Don't worry about it! As long as you are acceptable for the park you'll be just fine.

I think there is a big difference between wearing appropriate clothes to what should be a nice dinner, and dressing sloppy and dirty. One should have respect for themself. Why is someone always said to be "judgemental" when they make a comment that is different than someone elses? Hummm, sounds judgemental to me.

There is a big difference to being comfortable on your vacation, which I am all for, and looking like a slob. These are the same people that do not follow the dress code at other Disney restaurants. If you cannot follow the dress-code when one is established, then you might want to dine somewhere else. If there is no dress code, then at least dress nice for yourself! How hard is that? Must have struck a chord.
