What do intimates do for a dinner reception?

Do intimate wedding couples book their own dinner receptions?

I know the WP at the GF comes with a cake & champagne reception ( which obviously isnt dinner) but what about the other locations (sunset pointe, breezey point, yacht point ..... )

What do the intimate couples have to do? Book a separate dinner for any guests they have?

Yes Pete, that is what they do! Many restaurants have private rooms that you can book for your dinner, as well. Some good places to start at V&A's, Citricos, Narcooses, california Grill, Yachtsman steakhouse... and there are many more!

We're only have about 12 poeple so far attend our wedding. We will be having the wedding at the Disney Yacht Club Gazebo and then we are treating everyone to the "Spirit of Aloha" dinner show at the Polynesian. We will be changing after the wedding into some dressier hawain clothes,,I found a strapless palm dress and got some black and brown Hawaiian shirts for the guys,,and a burgandy one for my FI. After dinner we will be walking over to the lagoon to hopefully catch the MK fireworks.

Its not a traditional reception,,but we will be having a larger reception with all our friends and family when we get home so we thought this would be fun.

Did anyone else think it said Inmates instead of intimates? I was trying to picture a lovely dinner in prison. Honey could you please get your handcuffs out of the mashed potatoes?

Our intimate wedding was @ Sunset Pointe at 11am. We had a beautiful ceremony...and had a wedding dinner for everyone @ 7pm at O'hana's. It stuck with our Polynesian theme and everyone had a blast. They announced our wedding and we had a Hawaiian dance. It was great! Whatever you decide to do will be marvelous!

Actually i meant to write inmates, as that is how all us husbands feel.


C'mon...i was just joking...really...c'mon...just trying to break up the day at work here.... really....i've been hopelessly in love since that day we met at the highschool freshman dance....





Anyway....

Pete - All of the intimate ceremony locations come with the cake and champagne reception. I think the WP is more expensive because it is also a custom location, and also the most popular of the wedding locations.

Yes, the cake and champagne reception is at the site of the ceremony for all intimate weddings/renewals except the WP.

We are also having an intimate wedding, but at SBP. Our reception will consist of champagne and some fruit and cheese from Boardwalk catering since we are moving the cake to dinner at CG. There is a spot on your intimate wedding planning kit that you can fill out for dining, but I am calling Disney Dining myself officially 90 days out to book.
