Okay.. I think I am going to bump Ohana from our dining itinerary.. but what should I replace it with? We are doing the DxDP and these are the places we are doing dinner:

Sat: WCC
Sun: Mama Melrose
Mon: ???????
Tues: LTT
Wed: Boma
Thur: HDDR
Fri: Biergarten

We are planning on doing Chef Mickeys, CP, CRT, Donalds, Coral Reef, Le Cellier, 50's Prime Time, Beaches and Cream, Playhouse Disney Breakfast, Cape May Cafe Brekfast and 2 Counter Services for other meals.

What do you suggest for my empty space? We will be in AK that day and then heading to MK for the evening. TIA!!!

I would try Kona Cafe. If is very good and they also have wonderful desserts.

However, IMO you have way too many sit-down restaurants.

I agree with Cheshire here on both Kona and the fact that you may have too many sit-down meals planned. The way I see it, unless your a family of just huge eaters (nothing wrong with that), I think you will find a two sit down meals in a row (lunch and dinner) for example are not only going to be very time consuming but unless they are split way apart (a way early lunch and a late dinner), you probably will not be all that hungry for the second one. If I was doing the DP deluxe plan, I might schedule more 2 TS meals and less back-to-back 1 TS meals. That is where I think you get the best bang for your buck with the plan and still remain comfortable and active.

Well, since no one here knows what kind of eaters the family is, I don't think anyone can tell her that she has too many sit down restaurants. I am going on Dec. and I have a few days with 3 sit downs planned.

I would look, however, at other signature restaurants--like the PP said--there are a few that are children friendly-and you could have some amazing food!

We have a sit down planned for every day. One day we have CRT for breakfast and CP for dinner. LOL! Personally I would keep 'Ohana. I wouldn't put any of the other restaurants you listed in its place.

I would keep Ohana, I have a ton of pics and reviews from our trip earlier this month in my signature....it was one of our favorite meals of the entire trip!

I don't think her list of restaurants was one to choose from, it was a list of other restaurants that they were already going to--for lunch or breakfast.

I agree w/ you though, I wouldn't change O'Hana either. :)

OH--and OP--we'll be going in December too and going to "too many" sit downs, so maybe we'll see you at one of them!! :rotfl:

There are only a couple days where we have 3 sitdowns... and they are an early breakfasts and then rather late dinners, with a lunch in between. And there are some days we are doing late breakfast-early dinner combos. As far as signatures go... we go to the parks in shorts and t-shirts and do not want to go back and have to change into dressier clothes for dinner. Just our personal preference.

You could try Artist Point at WL. I haven't been there but it gets good reviews and it's on my list for my next trip.

No, I really don't blame you. It was just a friendly suggestion! ;)

Oops! You are right! I wouldn't replace 'Ohana with anything though. We go there just to get that bread pudding and shrimp!

how about the rainforest, as there is 1 of those at AK. you could have an early meal before heading to wdw.

chef micky's is also an option if you're in no rush...

Which signatures are good for kids and not too sticky about dress code? :confused3 We will be in shorts and nice t-shirts, possibly polos. I do not want to waste time going back to our hotel just to change clothes.

I am with you about the 3 sit-downs... nothing says we have to stuff ourselves till we ready to burst or anything. There are a lot of places we want to eat at, so we figured the DxDP was a good way to do it. :goodvibes

If you are set on switching, Park Fare dinner with Cinderella is one of the better character meals foodwise. I've heard Kona is delicious for dinner (hopefully trying it this trip!), but I can't yet vouch for it. We are probably going back to Ohana this trip after two years of avoiding it (there were too many better choices). I hope the wings are as delicious as we remember them!

Since you are going back to MK that evening, you have several options that right on the monorail loop. California Grill at the Contemporary, Kona at Poly, or Citricos and Narcoosee's at GF. All are good, and you would be fine in polos and shorts.

I agree that Kona would be a good choice.

I don't think you have too many meals planned, but I myslef have two or three meals planned a day.

CG Narcoosee's or Kona. But I would stick with Ohana too - its still one of my favorites.

Personally, from your list, I would ditch Mama Melrose and/or LTT. Neither of these rank high on my list.

We were doing Mama Melrose for the Fantasmic Package.
