What do I need to know?

Ok, so I'm days away from making my adr's, and I just wanted to double check a few things with the all knowing people of the Disboards.

1.) If we're on the dining plan, we DO NOT need to have a credit card to hold a ressie at CRT, right? If that's right, but they insist I do need one, what do I do?

2.) Do they serve soy milk at the restaurants, or do I need to request that/put it in the reservation? (My kids do fine with food cooked with milk, but milk as a drink does not sit well with them.) I thought I remembered that they served silk soy milk - both vanilla and chocolate - but I didn't notice it on the menus.

3.) What do I need to book my adr's? (like my confirmation number etc.)

4.) What's the number to call?

5.) What time am I allowed to start calling? 7 am, right?

1. Even if you are on a dining plan a credit card is still required to guarantee the reservation and to apply any no-show or cancellation fees if you don't show up or if you cancel your reservation within 24 hours of your dining time.
2. Most restaurants will have dairy alternatives such as soy milk but it is always best to mention it at the time you book your reservation so it can be noted for the culinary team.
3. If you are booking at the 180 point for your whole trip then you must have your valid reservation number with you so your eligibility to book the +10 days can be verified.
4. Call 407-WDW-DINE (407-939-3463) to book dining reservations.
5. The DRC hours are 7am-10pm eastern time.

Do they apply a hold on the credit card if you are on the dinning plan - Like do they hold onto the cost of the meal until you show up with your Dining Plan card - or do they just hold onto the number so they can charge you if you are a no show? Did I say this coherently enough?

When I booked the Hoop Dee Doo last Sept, they took my credit card number but did not put a hold on it..

I recently booked Princess Storybook Dining and was told it was a 48 hour cancellation notice. This was also true any other time I needed to hold a reservation with a credit card (BBB and a behind the scenes tour), so I was told this on three separate occasions.

Nothing is held on the card and nothing will be charged unless you are a no-show or cancel within 24 hours. It is simply taken just in case penalties need to be applied.

And while other locations, such as Princess Storybook Dining, do require a 48 hour cancellation window, the cancellation window for Cinderella's Royal Table is just 24 hours prior to your dining time. The Disney dining agents at the DRC should go over the specifics for each location that requires a credit card guarantee before completing the reservations.
