What do I need to have prepared for online check-in?

Question about the passport photos for online check in. My new passport looks a bit different. There are 2 photos now. One page has my photo and all the info and another has a photo and my signature. Does anyone know if Disney wants a photo of both pages together, or is just the page with the passport number..etc good enough.
The most important thing is to have the full photo and the full strip of code info at the bottom of the photo page.

I have the latest style passport and I include the top half and bottom half. It's not just your passport photo they want to see. Your signature is in the top half and there are security features built into both photos. It's not any more effort to include the whole thing so why only include half and then hope that they'll accept it? :scratchin

Checked in this morning at 6:30 AM, as had missed sleep several consecutive nights prior, so I prioritized my sleep over securing an early PAT. Fairly smooth process. Received 11:30 PAT. with BG 6. Very happy that I didn't stay up to check in at midnight. Thanks for all of the advice regarding having scans ready!

As a first time cruiser, thank you for this info! We have transportation arranged with Disney from MCO to the port. At midnight, when the check in window opens, do you know if the system will allow me to bypass the flight/port arrival specifics? I’m hoping it does so I can go back later, after I get my PAT and BG and edit with the appropriate info.

It will not allow you to bypass. But, just enter that you're driving, as that's the fastest option. You can then go back later and enter your flight specifics. The system should already know you are taking DCL transportation.

I tried this for our recent Nov cruise. It wouldn’t allow me to say I was driving because it knew we were scheduled for Disney transfers.

Interesting. I also just did this and I was allowed to say I was driving. Perhaps it's because we only did transfers to the port, not back after the cruise?

Our transfers were only port to airport but we sailed from San Juan and disembarked in Galveston. It knows driving RT is simply not an option for anyone.

my photo was rejected to I had to re-submit. was able to move PAT to 11:15 AM with a new BG 5. Not to shabby!

Ok. Then maybe I only put driving as

Yes! You can go in at any time and check for a new PAT. I've definitely been able to move mine up doing that.

We are cruising to the Bahamas. As I understand it, my children (both under 15) will only need their birth certificates to sail. However, we are in the process of getting passports for them, and they will likely arrive after our 30 day online check in window opens but before we cruise. Is it possible to go back to the online check in and add their passport info once we get them?

If they have not yet been reviewed, then yes. If they've already been reviewed and approved then you'll have to contact DCL. But DCL does expect you to use whatever citizenship document you uploaded during online checkin when you get to port. They might be able to reset that to let you upload the passport info, but you would have to contact them to see.

This is what I’m thinking may happen, the system knows that we’re scheduled on the Disney transfer. I’ll try both ways and see.

RE: "Uploading a passport"....what is this? Are you folks taking a photo of your opened passport and uploading it? I'm assuming both the photo page, and the info page?

I haven't cruised since 2018 so I'm starting the catch-up process now (a few months early). Thank you!
