I keep reading all these posts about everyone receiving codes, and I have yet to get one!

Granted, my first trip to WDW was last October, but I signed up for the DVD a year ago and I have been receiving all kinds of emails ever since - but no code.

What's a girl gotta do??? Give some cheese to the Mouse???

You have to sign up to every type of Disney newsletter there is and anything that has to do with Disney. Also if you have an AAA card, you can get 10-15% off the normal rate.

Don't we wish we all knew the secret? My family has visited six times in the past eight years. We even bought an annual pass one of those years. However...I have never received a PIN code....UNTIL TODAY!!! I got the 40% code.

Maybe it's when you least expect it....?!?!;)

You could be like me never ever gotten one in 21 trips, go to the mailbox a few days ago and get the coveted 40% postcard only to not be allowed to use it because it came to my house in the name of a deceased friend I once travelled to Disney with, and the CM at cro said if it is not in my name I can not use it ....needless to say I have tried everyday since than and spoke to a mgr and they basically told me we don't care if we lose your money we can't allow it.Can you tell I am bitter?

I'm pretty sure there isn't any rhyme or reason as to how Disney sends out the codes. As far as I know its completely random - as long as they have your email address or snail mail address somewhere. My extended family has been going for over 16 years (most trips to Disneyland though, with only 2 to WDW) and no one in my entire family has received a pin code. I'm registered with pretty much everything and anything Disney has to offer, and over the years before big trips we'll request the newest DVD and that hasn't helped either, apparently. Also I've done many of those survey things as you enter the park, and still no avail...so I'm clueless as to how you get them...sorry for my lack of help!

I try to patiently wait :headache: and hope that when it comes , we can actually use it!

I wish I knew how. Nobody in my family (me, my hubby, my mom and dad) have ever gotten one...still saying a little prayer and crossing my fingers. I called just to make sure and nothing. I also got a kind of rude CM when I called. My dad also called (different household) and also got a rude CM. Hmmm...must be stressed out from all the codes flying around.

there is no sure fire way but i got a code yesterday finally :cool1: ....1 week after calling WDW to compare rates for Pop through disney vs online. I nicely told the CM no thanks, I can (and did) book through expedia for 1/2 the price). i have also registered for their website, saved a few itineraries to my account, I've ordered 2 dvd's in the last year (1 every 6 months). I also booked a trip (room only) in sept and had to cancel it in nov b/c our plans changed. i try to stay in there system and it worked! good luck!

I was on the Disney website last night pricing out trips and was asked if I wanted to chat. I told the CM that I had heard about the 40% discount codes going around and wanted to know what I could do to secure one. She told me that you can get one by request (which I knew) but that you just had to try to make sure Disney has up to date info so that when the marketing department chooses criteria for the codes (meaning they decide who they want to market to and then search randomly for people who fall into that category), you have a shot.

I then told her that I usually book my trips through AAA and whether or not that could be the reason that I never get codes. She said that they do "not market to people who are using AAA or travel agents because we don't have all the information".

I told her that I had done both but that maybe, booking through AAA, is a disadvantage. Of course, she then said that its not because they have special packages sometimes that can only be gotten from them.

What it tells me is that maybe going through AAA is not always the best if you want to keep yourself up to date in Disney's system and hope to snag yourself a code.

I got an code in the mail after BOOKING a trip and a PIN a month before I went on that trip.
I also got a code just for calling and talking **sweet**
I am also an AP, too. :worship:

If that was true I would have had one for the past 21trips I have taken...I have asked, requested, begged, pleaded never a thing and they have all of my info because I always get the emails snail mail for other things.Never a discount.

All I can think of is the klondike bar commercials. Sorry to laugh at you.

What would you do for a disney code? :rotfl: :lmao:

I hope you can snag one.
