Help!

How do I turn this chicken carcus into chicken noodle soup?

Do I just stick the entire thing in the pot of water ??? Do I pull all the meat off first? (whats left, after we destroyed it)..

My great grandmother would put the whole thing in a big pot of water and boil it for a really long time. Then she would strain the liquid off and use that to make soup.

I put the whole chucken in a pot of water full Boil for 1 Hour then take out and let cool and to the water add chicken base and carrots celery onions and pepper and salt then take off the meat from the chicken add that to the rest of the stuff , Then add noodles, cook until tender.

Well crap..... from your title I was going to suggest that you put the carcass on a string and wear it around your neck as a necklace.....

but now I see that you want to make soup, and I don't have an answer for that..... :guilty:

I put it all in a big pot of water (like grandma above), simmer on low heat for pretty much all day (keep an eye on it you don't want the water to boil away). I do add a little salt to the water. At the end of the day I turn it off, let it come to room temp and then pour it through a colander. Then separate all the meat from the bones... meat goes back in... bones do not. Then add whatever you want in the vegies & seasonings department and cook until soft. If you're adding noodles you want to wait until 1 to 2 hours before serving or they will turn to mush.

I usually chop onion, garlic, celery, carrots & sometimes broccoli (very fine) and add a bay leaf and maybe some parsley.... salt & pepper to taste. But everyone likes chicken soup a little different, and then there is chicken veggie or Chicken Noodle or Chicken rice...

When I'm in a hurry I start with the Swanson boxes of Organic Chicken broth... it's almost as good as homemade. Have fun!
