I haven't signed the paperwork, but have changed my mind about buying into DVC. My husband and I have been recently faced with an unexpected financial crisis. We received the "Welcome Home" box with all of the paperwork to sign & notarize, etc. Since this crisis came up, we decided to put off joining DVC for awhile. How would I go about handling this situation and the large deposit charged to my credit card? And what do I do with the box of paperwork & goodies? Thanks so much for any help!

Call your Sales Agent.

Any advice given here, while possibly accurate, would be unofficial. Call Member Services.

while on the Disney cruise in 03 we put down a deposit on a Saratoga Springs add-on - had the paperwork etc
Decided to postpone adding on (for the time being anyways) - had no problem backing out

In the packet of info with the papers to be noterized and signed should have been a page that said something to the effect of, "If you sign this, it's cancels your contract". I'd pull this sheet out and call Member services.

This sheet also states you have 15 days to do so. I would call your guide and fax the sheet over as soon as possible. I do understand that Disney is very good about letting people back out.
