What do expect for December crowds?

We just decided to go to Disneyland for 4 nights in December (18th - 22nd). We plan to visit the parks on the 19th, 20th, & 21st (Sun-Tuesday). Should we expect big crowds? When do the holiday crowds start streaming in?

<font color=navy>I would expect it to be extremely busy. Disneyland is really beautiful at Christmas, and a lot of people go there to take advantage of visiting when it's so decorated, especially during those two weeks at year end when a lot of people are on vacation. The week between Christmas and New Years will be even more busy. I expect that the weekdays will be a lot more manageable.

Having said that, you can still have a lot of fun - go when the park opens & hit the most popular attractions then, use fastpass where available, see shows during the day when lines are longest, and don't sweat the small stuff.

Thanks for the suggestions. I don't think we'll head into Disneyland until Monday morning. I know CA is less popular, so we can do that on Sunday. We've been to DL a lot, but not during the holidays. We'll take it a casual pace and go with the flow.

It is beautiful at the holidays and yes a little busier the closer to the 25th you get. I highly recommend the DL holidays tour. I can't remember exactly what it was called but we got to go ahead of the line for the Haunted Mansion and It's a Small World, got special seats at Minnie's Christmas show and they had seats ready for us to watch the X-Mas parade.

Just wanted to throw it out there, but DCA is generally busier on Sundays over any other day....

Disneyland is SOOO gorgeous over the holidays!! Make sure to try all the holiday food offerings! YUM!
