What Disneyland 50th souvenir are you absolutely, positively buying?

The 50th map they sell around the park is only 5 bucks- my only biff is that its folded not rolled

If youd like a picture of it Id be happy to post one

Do they sell the scrapbooks and supplies in the stores at Disneyland and do you know if they will still have them around in October. I am a really scrapper and would love to get some scrapbooking supplies for my trip to Disneyland in October. :Pinkbounc

The golden ears, 50th name tags (first I heard of them - where are they available?) and antenna topper are must haves! Already ordered the LE 6 CD set through disneydirect.com. I'm sure there will be more and since it's my b-day trip DH can't say no...right? ;)

the exclusive Visa Card 50th pin
This is the first I've heard of this pin. Did you get it at the park or order it through the Disney Visa website?

Thanks!

Is there a website where some of the 50th Anniversary merchandise can be viewed? There are a few things in the current catalog you can get at the Disney Store. I'm particularly interested in "retro stuff"!

The exclusive Visa Card pin was in the pin trading store in Tomorrowland. The gold name badges were at the open-air souvenir shop between Small World and Matterhorn. Don't know if they were at other places but that is where DD got hers.

Yep, there sure is! http://www.mouseshoppe.com/

My parents will be in Disneyland the first week in June( I am not going with, :sad2: ), so I went on the website above and picked out 5 things that I would like for them to get me. And the best part is, that they said they would get me all 5 things~that I picked out( so I am very happy, about that)! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Thanks Jenny! Do you happen to know if they were able to make the name badges with any name if the name one wants isn't available already inscribed? No one ever has my name. :(

The name badges come blank, so yep, they'll inscribe your name.

I was just thinking this morning of all the things I normally get on a vacation to remember it by, so my plans for this trip include...

Photo album with year on it
Photo frame (with a date if possible)
Dated Christmas ornament

DD11 usually gets a snowglobe, pressed penny book and pressed pennies, postcards and a t-shirt (plus anything else she can find :rotfl: )

DD19 will not be with us, but I hope to find her a bell for her collection and a t-shirt.

I like the look of the retro stuff, so I am sure I will be bringing some of that home also. :teeth:

Only 48 more days! That's the first time I've checked how many days until we get there... Yippee! Not much longer now!

Wall Map to update my 45th anniversary one.

The 6-disk CD collection (I own LTD editon #1785).

And Golden Mickey Ears Antenna Ball.

And whatever else my heart desires while I am there :)

I'm not going till Sept, but I am planning on buying 50th anniversary tshirts, fridge magnet, sling bag, ornament, gold mickey ears, wall map, among others.

Jules

I love Disney antenna toppers. So the gold Mickey one will have to be coming home with me. We also collect Christmas ornaments. So I am hoping that they have a couple of different ones for the 50th. I'm sure once I get there I will find a number of things that I won't be able to "live without".

What are the prices on some of this stuff? As I am reading these posts, I think I need one of everything, and I would like to get an idea of how much I should stash away for souveniers! (Especially the scrapbooking stuff!)

Probably should plan on about $1000 :rotfl:

It will be hard for me to leave without a cap, t-shirt, magnet for the fridge and at least a couple pens! Our kids are saving up for their souvenirs and I'm sure their lists will be at elast as long as mine!

I'd love to get the book on the history of Disneyland too. Way too many cool things!

thanks for the link to mouseshoppe, that's been a great resource to learn about what's out there. I've been checking ebay too. I was super exctatic to get the limited edition 6 cd set on Disney Direct. Now I get to actually be there as of Sunday night and try to not let myself go too crazy! But now I have some great ideas of what to be on the look out for!

Just got back from DL and was disappointed to find out that they are sold out of a LOT of the 50th merchandise and I'm not talking just about the limited edition items. Even open stock items are gone. I only found the Mickey antenna toppers with teh gold ears at one shop and they didn't have many. I was surprised they didn't plan better.

My #1 Priority is the Gold Mickey hats, one for me and one for DH with our names on them. I also have a "thing'" for pens so I'll have to have a few of those.
