Ever since this forum was posted: http://www.disboards.com/threads/top-5-companies-disney-should-purchase-next.3498497/

Ever since Disney has doing great with purchasing companies, like Pixar, Marvel and Lucasfilm. with Pixar, it has been a boost for Walt Disney Animation Studios. ever since the early 2000's, Disney Animation doesn't do very well at box office and/or critically, Box office flops like Atlantis: The Lost Empire, Treasure Planet and Home on the Range. Even critically like Dinosaur, Brother Bear and Home on the Range. the only success that Disney has in the early 2000's is Lilo and Stitch. Disney shuts down the 2D Animation department and decided to make a CGI film without the help of Pixar with Disney's hated film, Chicken Little (althought it did better in the box office). after Disney bought Pixar, Ed Catmull becomes president of Disney Animation and Pixar, Steve Jobs steps down as CEO of Pixar and became the Chairman Board of Director of Disney and the most importantly, John Lasseter became not only in charge of Pixar, but also Disney Animation as Chief Creative Officer, which explains why movies like Wreck-it Ralph, Frozen, Big Hero 6, Zootopia, Tangled are successful in these days, because Lasseter have been as a Executive Producer. He also change the projects like Meet the Robinsons and Bolt (originally American Dog by Chris Sanders) to improve it and even bringing back the 2D Animation with The Princess and the Frog and Winnie the Pooh 2011.

However, other Studios like NBCUniversal, owned by Comcast, recently bought DreamWorks Animation, Now they have two animation studios with DreamWorks and Illumination Entertainment, just Disney has two studios, Pixar and Disney Animation. They want Chris Meledandri to be in charge of both Illumination and DreamWorks, but Meledandri doesn't have plan on taking over DreamWorks Animation, so Bonnie Arnold and Mireille Soria remained to be in charge of DreamWorks.

Marvel and Lucasfilm on the other hand, They help Disney making a lot of money with films like The Avengers and Star Wars: The Force Awakens. As i'm a Disney lover, i owned two Marvel T-Shirts, a Star Wars T-Shirt, a Star Wars sweater, a Star Wars sandwich box and i have eaten a Star Wars cereal.

Now, i got some opinions (or theories) about what will Disney buys next?

Hasbro

I still keep hearing the rumors of Disney buying Hasbro, since 2012. In 2016, Hasbro now has the toy rights to Disney Princess from Mattel. Don't forget that not too long ago, Hasbro acquired a irish animation studios, Boulder Media.

If only Hasbro could get the right of Disney-Pixar Cars.

Lightstorm Entertainment

Ever since Disney make deal with Lightstorm Entertainment to make Pandora: World of Avatar at Disney's Animal Kingdom. I think Disney should buy the James Cameron's production company and the rights to Avatar. in a similar fashion to Lucasfilm, ltd.

Rainbow s.r.l.

latest

fot those who haven't heard of the company before, Rainbow s.r.l. is an italian animation studios, best known for the Winx Club (as you remember this on 4Kids and Nickelodeon), founded by Iginio Straffi.

After the failed attemped of DreamWorks Animation to buy Rainbow s.r.l., due to, as i mentioned, Comcast buyout and the departure of Jeffrey Katzenberg. If Disney wins a bidding war to purchase Rainbow s.r.l. and the rights to Rainbow's IP, including Winx Club, Pop Pixie, Monster Allergy, etc. Disney should expand the TV business and their market to Europe. It will also make Rainbow not only doing original IPs, but also doing a series based on Disney IPs, like Star Wars: Resistance (i don't know why someone put this in Wikipedia, later removed). Last year, Rainbow bought Bardel Entertainment. Bardel would be making Rainbow programming and programming based on Disney films for Disney Television Animation. If either Disney or Rainbow buys Mercury Filmworks, Mercury Filmworks also would be animating some Rainbow programming and making Disney's animated TV series.

EA/Activision Blizzard/SEGA

Since Disney stopped self-publishing games and discontinued Disney Infinity, i was hoping if Disney buys a game studios. If you talks about the rumor of Disney buying Nintendo, i don't think it would be a good idea for Disney to make games for just one console.

I heard every single rumors of Disney buying EA, Since Disney sells the game rights to Star Wars to EA. What would be if Disney buys Activision Blizzard.

I was hoping for Disney to buy SEGA, ever since SEGA went downhill, Disney is the one who can fix it. When i was a kid, i loved to play Sonic the Hedgehog games.

I could see them buying Hasbro. They'd get a huge toy-division that already makes a lot of Disney licensed items, plus the IP for movies and TV like Transformers, G.I. Joe, My Little Pony, etc. I also think Disney would do a much better job with those movies than Hasbro/Paramount have been doing (TF and G.I. Joe have not had good track records, quality-wise).

Yep, I do have a theory about this. Disney doesn't have their own toy maker studios. So, Why Not?
