I would not do Chef Mickey's for dinner. I didn't like the food and it wasn't so clean (the food area) either. The characters were great, but the food no good. I would try it for breakfast though which I hear is much better. What place wouldn't you go again and why?

probably cape may - it was ok - but we are really not all that into seafood. glad we tried it - not desire to go back

LTT it's just not my cup of tea in more ways than one.... food quality, restrooms, service

This debate goes on and on and on on this forum- you eventually will see every restaurant mentioned. It's a matter of personal taste, the waitstaff you experience on a given night, atmosphere, and perceived food quality (what one person loves, another will not).

We didn't like either Raglan Road or Coral Reef.

We went early to Raglan Road. It was pretty empty, and the waitress didn't want to be bothered, and particularly didn't seem to like children. Since DD6 was with us, it gave us a problem. The food wasn't terribly good, although the alcohol was. Probably a great place when it's crowded and you're drinking, but it failed during our circumstances.

Everybody tells you that, at Coral Reef, you should get a seat next to the aquarium. Fine. Nobody tells you that less than a quarter of the house is by the windows. The other views aren't bad, but don't go expecting that fantastic view. Alas, our service was lousy and the food wasn't that great. Glad we tried it, glad we don't have to go back.

I don't think there are any that I would never go to again.

There are two--Boatwright's for dinner and Hollywood & Vine at any time. Boatwright's was by far the worse service/dinner we have ever had, and Hollywood & Vine--which we have now done two times, did not impress, was dirty and the food was only so-so (when there was food to choose from).

We tried twice...not willing to try again....the food is just not easy on the stomach and the service is hit & miss....on our first trip, food => yuck ....our "Uncle" server was great....tried again, food => yuck again and our "Aunt" this time must have disowned us because she could not be bothered with playing her part....the service really does make a difference!

I agree totally with Abharmagic.... everyone has an opinion about restaurants as well as everyone has different wants and needs for different meals. However, I thought I'd throw my two cents worth in. We had a bad experience at Tony's in the Magic Kingdom last year. Upon arrival, no one could find our reservation and the staff was very disorganized in their attempts to find it. (They never did find it!) We were finally issued a place in the wait and ended up waiting an hour and a half to be seated. Then we were very rushed through our meal which was at best, OK. We knew we weren't going to experience Italian food at it's finest, but to not be able to pull off a simple (over priced) plate of pasta with red sauce was not at all in keeping with Disney's quality. I also didn't realize, my error, that alcohol isn't served in the Magic Kingdom so we couldn't even relax over a glass of wine during our wait! We planned on an early dinner (5pm reservation) so we could get back in the park (and hopefully get in and out before the real dinner rush) and enjoy it without the lines, but ended up taking so much time due to the reservation mix-up... well, we didn't feel the magic to say the least! I'd not go back there with so many other great options out there!

Totally, 100% agree!

In the past, I've said I wouldn't return to Trail's End, Ohana, or Boma.

I didn't enjoy the food at TE @ Dinner. I grew up on country cooking & this didn't compare to mom's. ;) Seriously, I usually stay away from country cooking for this reason. FWIW, TE's breakfast is fine.

Ohana was too loud & chaotic for me, & we left hungry. I know it's all you can eat, but they weren't very forthcoming with refills for our larger party.

Boma was a huge disappointment. We went expecting authentic African fare & found American far w/ a twist on a few items.

That all said, now that it's been awhile since eating at any of these, I find myself thinking our experience couldn't have been that bad. As they say, absence makes the heart grow fonder. That works for the stomach too.

When/if we return to Boma or Ohana, it will most likely be for breakfast. We would only return to TE for dinner, if we were staying in the cabins & were too lazy to go anywhere else.

:) Yes, I agree. Most of the restaurants will have good/bad reviews but that being said, we haven't been back to Tony's since we had a similar experience as Disbound a few years back. Also, this past week we went to Flying Fish (were on the DP so used 2TS credits) and were very disappointed. I had the NY strip steak and my DH had the scallops. While both were good, neither was outstanding. We also felt very rushed as we hadn't even finished our appetizers when our main entree arrived. I know this restaurant always gets rave reviews but this must have been an off night. Anyway, in the future if we are on the DP, we will be going to one of the other signature restaurants.

I wont return to Whisper Canyon Cafe... It was a VERY VERY big letdown for my wife and I last trip...

It may not be a table service restaurant, but i would never go back to El Pirata y el Perico. I have never tasted such bad slop inside a taco! The fixin's bar was quite good, but i still wouldn't go back after that experience.

We actually have a few we will not go back to for awhile, but I will not say we will never go back to them. Our list of places we will skip the next few trips:
1) LTT we didn't like anything about it!
2) Ohana's we liked the original menu and didn't like it after the change.
3) Wispering Canyon the food wasn't to our liking, just OK. The atmosphere was great though.
4) Big River Grill at the BW we gave it many chances and the food stinks, IMHO!
5) Boma we are not adventurous eaters and really found nothing we liked. I am glad we gave it a try.
6) Olivia's It was just nothing special. Even if I stayed at OKW agai(which I probably won't) I still wouldn't go back there. Food was just OK.
7) Mama Melrose I use to love it but the last few times I got a dad stomach ache after eating here. Nothing wrong with it, just me!

We won't return to ANY buffet, too many kids and adults handling food with their hands- so not Disney's fault but I would rather eat at a resturant that serves me.
No SCI FI for us anymore. Atmosphere great, food OK, service horrible! If I am paying Disney prices for a TS hamburger I expect it to come with some service and a smile too and not be rushed through my meal.

I have two.

1 - Whispering Canyon Cafe. The service was horrid. I mean just absolutely terrible. Our waitress was awful. She spent more time sitting at another table chatting with other guests than she did taking care of her tables. We spent 3 hours in this restaurant. The first 20 minutes were waiting on our tea. The food was not very good. None of us enjoyed our meal other than my sister, who had the skillet.

2 - Chef Mickey's Character Breakfast. Everything here was swimming in grease. This was not a great breakfast experience.

I am not a fan of Hollywood and Vine either for reasons already mentioned. It always smells dirty in there and they do not keep the buffet well stocked. I will go back if I choose the FDP.

LTT dinner - turkey too dry

CP - only for 1st seating in the AM (7 AM, 7:30 AM - what ever it may be)
less hands and sneezes in the buffet

Rose & Crown - we did not like their menu this past year. no bangers and mash, fish a bit to oilly, fruit & cheese platter was nice

H&V for Fantasmic Pkg. - Again too many fingers (germs) into the buffet. Sorry someone did not like MM. I thought we'd try that next time. Or do the last (9:30 PM) Fastasmic show and eat at CS.

Garden Grill--Food gross--didn't like the looks of the place--need updating.
DS wanted Fried Catfish but got something that tasted like chicken fried steak (YUCK!). All we ate was the bread and dessert.

Chef Mickey--also yucky food for Dinner--don't care for buffets--kids touching everything--could smell fish from a distance--very expensive for what you get(glad we had Free dining or I would have really been mad).

Boma--food was to unusual and didn't find anything but bread and fruit that we knew what it was.

ON the other hand we LOVE--Tony's Town Square--Had THE BEST TS Meal on our entire Trip!!! and great Service TOO!!! Ate there in Sept.2007 early lunch (11:30 am) restaurant not buzy yet. Good Food but we did not order
the typical Italian food-we had NY Strip Steak and Grilled Salmon. Excellent Desert!!!

50' PT---We really didn't enjoy the options on the menu when we went in 2005, we had seafood primavera, in all honestly we should have known better and gone with something more homecooked like potroast or fried chicken then we may have enjoyed it more. Our server did not play her role either so that was a letdown.

For us its Big River Grille and Fultons. Had very poor experiences (food and service) at these places on more than one occasion. With so many other choices available at WDW there's no reason to subject ourselves to them again.
