We are two families - 3 adults, 2 15 year olds, a 12 yo and an 11 yo at the time of sailing. We requested the early seating. What dining rotation do you think we can expect to get? What is the best one to have in your opinion?

I've read that the first night you find more kid's in AP, families in PC and adults in Trition's/Lumiere's.

Somewhere on the internet is a rotation spreadsheet if someone can point you towards it!

This has been posted many times, and it has been accurate for us.

Predicting Dining Rotation:
The restaurant rotation seems to be based on the makeup of your party:
Have a lot of little ones...count on Animator's, Parrot Cay then Lumiere's. (APL)
Have say 7-10 year olds...count on Parrot Cay, Lumiere's and then Animator's (PLA)
Have older teens, senior citizens, honeymooners, or just adults...count on Lumiere's, Animator's and then Parrot Cay. (LAP)

Just returned from the 1/24 Magic. Our two families were 4 adults, 13, 12, 10 and 9 year olds. We had main seating with the APL rotation. I sort of expected PLA and was hoping to be in Lumiere's for formal (Sunday) and Parrot Cay for tropical (Tuesday). As it turned out we were in Animator's for tropical night and Lumiere's for semi-formal - Parrot Cay for formal. It didn't really matter! You receive flower leis on tropical night so that adds to the atmosphere no matter where you are. I will say this about main seating - lots of young kids and lots of crying (at least on our cruise!) So don't expect an upscale dining experience as far as atmosphere goes. It's pretty loud and we felt a bit rushed.

Thanks for all the responses!

Now I can't find my dining schedule which tells you what nights to expect the various functions on (semi-formal night, formal night, etc.) Does anyone know where I can find that?

Our schedule on 1/24 was formal night - Sunday; tropical night- Tuesday; and semi-formal on Thursday. All other nights were casual. Hope that's what you were looking for.

We just got back from the Jan 24, 04 eastern and had two small kids 2 and 4. We were on the late seating begining with AP, but switched once onbaord. This put us in Lumiere's at the early seating. There were many other small kids at this rotation. With 300 or so people eating at each place, any noise the kids make won't make it to the next table. Yah it's noisy while you eat, but still very good. As far as I'm concerned any rotation is fine. The most important thing is the time (early or late) and that depends on your family.
