...i'm terrified of it coming out even more than that!!!

i've got 130 guests coming right now. busses are a HUGe expense, huh?

My guest list is about 100 and the DFTW planner said it would be between 29,00 to 30,000 for it being at WP and GF... I am hoping I dont go over 40k... thats my max. budget... I want to get the buses too but they are pretty penny!!!!

why is your wedding costing $30k??!!! I know GF is Grand Floridian but what does WP stand for? I don't have 30k in credit cards!

Just tell your planner exactly what you can spend. You can slect floral, food, etc to fit into your budget. You should be able to do it on your budget if you are careful.

I am going to have between 130 - 150 guests and I was told that my budget of $20-25K is completely doable.

You should be able to get your wedding WAY under 30K, especially having your reception at GF. Since you are using a ballroom, you can use outside floral which is a HUGE help. We are having our wedding inside a park which includes massive venue fees and we are required to use Disney floral which is a significant fraction of our budget. Good Luck, you will have an amazing wedding no matter how much you spend, but you can do some unbelievable things with a max budget of 40k

The Grand has a higher min to meet than other locations for food and beverage. The buses are required for any in park weddings/ recpetions after/ before park open/closes. They do cost more but are required as your guests are not allowed to drive themselves. Use outside photography and videography to help reduce costs. The number of people that you have directly drive the cost that you pay. Make sure you that you take in account extra taxes and tips/ fees when determining your budget. I would say to leave an extra 15% of wiggle room for those charges. Another way to reduce cost is to see parts of your centerpieces and make them yourself instead of doing rentals. If you have an in park wedding/ eventyou must use Disney floral. Work with your EM and Floral Manager. They can help you figure out where you need to be and how to get there. Prioritize items on your must-have list. Is the carriage more important than having the wedding in the park, are Mickey and Minnie worth the cost to me, etc. If anyone wants to send me their BEO I would be glad to look at it and help you cut down on costs.

Have you considered a brunch or lunch? this is a great way to save some money and not lose the great "perks" because lunches are slightly cheaper.

Plus use outside floral, photo and video if possible that way you will get more bang for the buck and save money too!

You can do it for that amount. As long as you don't go crazy. A big help is the floral & The photography. If you use your own then it's a huge savings. I'm using an outside photographer Egio media & their work is EXCELLENT & they do many Disney weddings & they were a 1/3 of the cost.

We have a $15K minimum, for Memorial Day Weekend, so that's reeaally not bad, at all. We didn't have a huge guest list to begin with- invited only 85 people- but I'm only expecting about 40-45, including kids.

Mine is July 2nd at Shades of Green. We are having a Mickey and Minnie themed reception then a Mad Hatter picnic reception when we get home. Both Dad's are active army so this was a good choice for us.
