What did your home look like when you first moved in?

we had it built, so new with all the things we had picked and nothing else in it ....yet

Looked like it was decorated by a couple of 65 year olds. Even had wrought iron bars on all the windows......because they like the look, not for any security reason. But what did we know, we were 25? 40 years later, we're the 65 year olds living in the house.

A dump that literally should have been torn down. Early 1800’s house that sold for 10 grand in 1979.

It was a duplex..... 2 one bedroom apartments (originally 2 separate houses !) We knocked down the dividing wall, and took out the second kitchen.....made it into a family room. It is old but pretty well built (when we had the roof done, the roofers were quite impressed at how well the original 2 houses were put together to make the duplex.

Blue. Not only is the exterior blue but every room in the house was painted in the same light blue. Oh and there was a very 80s dusty rose carpet in the master bedroom.

Just an older, outdated version of what it is now. I've pretty much rebuilt the interior and some of the exterior. It's perfect for me now.

Off white and totally empty, except for a well-used, but welcome, lawn chair.

Off-white. Walls, trim, doors, tile, carpet.... All in shades of cream and beige.
The lawn chair was great - I moved in a week before Thanksgiving (US), my belongings arrived 2 days after Christmas. I slept on the floor, but I had a place to sit

entirely empty EXCEPT for a welcome basket from the small private school we had already arranged for our kids to begin attending. someone there did some snooping on-line and figured out who the realtors were that handled the purchase and arranged with them to place the basket full of handmade welcome cards and non perishable treats in the house prior to sending us the keys (we were coming from out of state).

Empty 8 year old home. Only thing left behind other than appliances were the blinds /curtin at the sliding glass door & 2 windows going out to the back deck & an antique corner wall cabinet in the half bathroom. They are still here.
Prior owners interiorwall colors weren't for us so we had them repainted.

Empty and all of the walls were painted gray and trim white to prep for sale. Given what we can see in places where paint chipped and stuff it was probably a good idea. I can tell my bedroom was red and a lot of the woodwork and cabinetry was blue.
