We are planning a Sept trip with my 3 year old, he now sleeps in a crib and I will be converting it to a toddler bed soon if he tries to escape! Last trip I rented a full crib but I don't think that I will need it this time, I was going to rent a toddler bed from ABBF of a toddler rail to use on the couch at the Poly, what have other parents used for there little ones?

My 3.5 year old will just be sleeping in the other full size bed during our stay at ASMo in March, but she's been in a regular bed since she was 2.

Is sleeping with you an option?
Make a pallet on the floor... kids love that.. LOL

Our DD3 1/2 slept on a air mattress on the floor. DS5 slep with me and DH slept alone (:sad1: ). We still had plenty of room even with the mattress and a sit n stand stroller in the room (ASSp). DD sleeps in a bed, but moves around too much to sleep with anyone, hence the mattress.
This is how we had the room set up.

That looks so cute I think that type of set up will work for us! Thanks for the picture!

My DS will almost be 3 when we go in Sept. Last year (when he was almost 2) he slept in the play yard supplied by the resort (I brought my own sheets). He will definately be too big for that this year.

He's been sleeping in a toddler bed since before he was 2. He never really liked his crib (mostly slept in play yard and then toddler bed). He loves his toddler bed. He is also good on couches and regular beds - I'm not afraid of him falling off as he knows how to climb in and out of "big" beds. And we'llproably get him a "big bed" by his thrid birthday.

When we go in Sept we will be in a 2-bedroom (hopefully at BWV). I'm thinking he will most likely sleep on the pull out sofa.
He prefers being in his own bed and I doubt he will want to sleep with us, but if he does the king size bed has enough room.

We're going with my sister and the pull out sofa is in the living room area right between both the bedrooms so everyone can hear him if he gets up. He can slppe on the sofa, but I like the ide of the full bed - if you put him in the middle there's more run for him to roll from side to side without landing on the floor.

With the pull out bed, I would just make sure that you stuff the gap at the head of the bed with pillows.

It really did work perfectly for us. The mattress came in a back pack and collapsed well AND came with a pump. we brought our own sheet and her blanket, but you could just ask for a sheet and blanket from mousekeeping. Another that could also work for your little one is a beach raft that may take up less room. But really by just moving the table to the window there was more than enough room. There was actually enought room to eat at the table too. Have a great trip.

Hi my fellow sept buddy! :wave2:

My DS was 27 mo at our last trip in Disney. We put him in a toddler bed about 23/24 months. So by Disney he was a "pro" :lmao:. Anywhoo. We stayed at POFQ and they gave us (no charge, just had to reserve) 2 bed rails he did perfectly fine. First night DH slept w/ him just to make sure he'd be ok. and he kept kicking him so he was on his "own" the rest of the trip he did fine. I do really like what the PP did though (the bed on the floor) I do not know what we are going to do w/ DSs next time one will be 3 the other will be 22 months. Especially since we went to Great Wolf Lodge this weekend and youngest DS got soooo upset w/ the pack and play he made himself sick

Also I heard that Poly has full size cribs to reserve....check out tikiman's site I believe that is where I read it.

The full size cribs at the Poly are very instititional to me I saw them during our last trip, I think that a little toddler bed will be very cute for him. Thanks for the advice,
I guess I will see how he is in Aug, Sorry your little one hated the PNP, we havehad good luck with it when we go to the beach but ds is much to big now.

A regular bed with rails. Why put them on the floor if there is a bed?:confused3 Besides, I may walk on the floor but I wouldn't want to put my head on it. Blech!

We used a kid sized air mattress for our DD (age 2.5 at the time) last time we went down and it worked out great. She loved it!

We were at the Poly with just-turned-4 year olds this past December and the pull out couch was the bed of choice. Though we did have the air mattresses with sleeping bags attached as well. I liked the couch because a few of mine can really travel while they are asleep and the couch was closer to the floor if they rolled off. We had a night or two with all 4 mattresses in our room and it was very nice that the Poly has such generous space in the rooms. Most nights we split the kids between my parents' adjoining room.

Tha adjoining room is awesome! I had that with my parents at the Poly last trip and it was great! Baby went to sleep and we had another room to hang out in, watch wishes etc!

We just used the rails provided by the resort and put DS in the unused bed at POFQ last year. DS was 19 months. He'd make it about 1/2 way through the night and then Dh would go join him and I'd get one bed to myself :)

At other hotels we have just gotten extra blankets and created a 'bed' on the floor lined with pillows. Our DS can sleep anywhere.

When ds was 6 mos he slept in the pack n play, at 3.5 he slept in a queen bed by himself (offsite) and at 5.5 he slept in the regular bed. Dd slept in a portable crib at 1, and a regular bed at almost 3. They both slept in a regular bed well before age 3 at home so there was no reason for special arrangements on vacation.

We were having sleep issues with DD6 (then 2-5 y.o.), so I finally broke down and got this cot with an attached sleeping bag:

She loves it! Of course the Princesses don't hurt! This way, when she has sleep problems she's in "her bed" at the foot of our bed. No more kicks in the wrong place at 2 in the morning! I will be packing this from now on when we we vacation or DH takes the girls tent camping. The sleeping bag is elastic all the way around, but does come off if you just want to use the cot. It folds up super easy and super small. I highly recommend it!
